Chuong My seminar on local history

On the morning of April 29, the Standing Committee of the Chuong My District Party Committee held a discussion to contribute to two books "History of the Chuong My District Party Committee, period 1930-2025" and "Uncle Ho with Chuong My".

The seminar was attended by nearly 40 delegates who are leaders and former leaders of Hanoi city and Chuong My district through the periods, researchers and document collectors.

Opening the discussion, Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Chuong My District Trinh Tien Tuong said that in order to promptly update, archive and disseminate the revolutionary history of the Party Committee, government and people of Chuong My District and to record and propagate the times Uncle Ho visited, worked and showed affection for cadres, party members, armed forces and people in the area, Chuong My District Party Committee directed specialized agencies to compile the two books mentioned above.

In particular, the book "History of the Party Committee of Chuong My District, period 1930-2025" consists of 19 chapters, more than 800 pages thick, recording the process of formation of the land and people of Chuong My District under the feudal colonial regime; the process of absorbing revolutionary lines, fighting for liberation, national unification, building and developing the homeland...

The book “Uncle Ho with Chuong My” was first compiled by Chuong My district with 3 chapters, 268 pages thick. Chapter I: Uncle Ho with Chuong My district, records the times Uncle Ho lived and worked in Chuong My district. Chapter II: The Party Committee and people of Chuong My district study and follow Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style. Chapter III: Thousands of flowers offered to Uncle Ho.

Giving their opinions on the two books, former Secretary of the Chuong My District Party Committee Tran Thieu, Le Ngoc Doanh, Tran Loi, Dinh Manh Tuan, Tran Vung, Le Trong Khue... highly appreciated the Editorial Board for their efforts in collecting documents and compiling the book; expressed their emotion and joy at having access to the most complete documents about the occasions when Uncle Ho lived and worked in Chuong My district for the first time. In addition, the delegates also frankly pointed out and requested the Editorial Board to revise some sentences, supplement and update documents related to the history of the formation of the land and people of Chuong My...

“The Editorial Board should consider adding typical examples, children of Chuong My district in the cause of fighting, liberating the nation, building the homeland and country in Chapter III - Thousands of flowers for Uncle Ho, in the book Uncle Ho with Chuong My…”, former Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee, former Secretary of District Party Committee, Chairman of Chuong My District People's Committee Trinh Duy Hung suggested.

Concluding the discussion, Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Chuong My District Trinh Tien Tuong respectfully thanked the delegates for their comments; at the same time, assigned the Editorial Board of the two books to absorb, edit and supplement on the basis of respecting historical truth...
