Digital transformation for professionalism, integration and modernity

DTO - In the 2024-2025 school year, Dong Thap University has chosen the theme of the school year: "Digital transformation for professionalism, integration and modernity", along with key strategic and practical tasks. The school hopes to continue to create positive changes from school management activities and teachers - learners, meeting development requirements in the new context.

With the theme of that school year, Dong Thap University identified the main tasks as continuing to innovate thinking and awareness, improving university governance capacity, resolving outstanding issues, unlocking resources, promoting the implementation of decentralization and accountability according to the mission, vision and development strategy, associated with the goal of improving quality and optimizing efficiency in all areas of operation.

At the same time, continue to develop a quality assurance system to build a quality culture, taking quality as the foundation and a consistent requirement in all activities; comprehensively deploy solutions to ensure the quality of enrollment, training and scientific research activities; closely link the task of human resource development with the development of science, technology and innovation; strengthen cooperation and exploit external resources.

In particular, focusing on enhancing the application of information technology, building a digital education ecosystem DThU operates in all areas of operation, from management systems, enrollment, training, scientific research, linking administrative reform with innovation in management work, governance methods, taking the satisfaction of officials, employees, learners and society as a measure of the quality and efficiency of the units and schools.

There are 12 key groups of solutions deployed, which are a system of synchronous solutions in all fields. Accordingly, Dong Thap University promotes digital transformation, administrative reform; strengthens political and ideological education, national defense and security education, physical education, and school health; continues to perfect the organizational structure and the system of management and administration documents to improve the effectiveness and efficiency in management, promote the implementation of university autonomy in accordance with the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State; develops a team of teachers, managers, administrative officials and staff to meet the requirements of job positions and practical development of the school.

Along with innovating and modernizing training programs and methods, better meeting the labor market's demand for high-quality human resources and learners' diverse learning needs in the new context; improving the effectiveness of quality management, fully implementing accountability associated with strengthening inspection, supervision and monitoring; improving the quality of scientific research and innovation.

With the goal of integration and “openness”, Dong Thap University focuses on improving the effectiveness of international cooperation activities; consolidating and expanding training and fostering linkage activities; training and granting certificates of information technology application and VSTEP certificates; promoting educational communication, admissions consulting, connecting businesses, serving the community and effectively implementing emulation movements in the school.

The development strategy of Dong Thap University for the period 2021 - 2030 defines the mission: "Training highly qualified, multi-disciplinary human resources, in which educational science and teacher training are the core; scientific research and providing community services; contributing to the socio-economic development of the Mekong Delta and the whole country". With the theme of the new school year, Dong Thap University takes digital transformation as a lever to promote the development of the school management system; at the same time, continue to exploit and promote the advantages of a multidisciplinary university; promote the advantages and potential of the school's staff and students with dedication, aspiration, desire to contribute, consensus, humanity, and compassion to continue to innovate and develop, along with the implementation of projects to attract, nurture and use talents.
