Hoi An among the most beautiful historical centers in Asia

Vietnam's Hoi An ancient town has just been ranked as the most beautiful historical center in Asia by the French online travel site Tourlane.

In its latest announcement, Tourlane evaluated the ancient towns based on four criteria: walking space, age of formation, cost of visit and popularity on social network Instagram. With the advantage of a well-preserved 16th-century old town, an entrance fee of only about 2 euros (2.36 USD) and convenient walking space, Hoi An surpassed many competitors to top the Asian rankings.

The website describes Hoi An as “one of the best-preserved ancient towns in Southeast Asia,” with streets lit by thousands of colorful lanterns. The next spots in Asia go to Bhaktapur (Nepal), Kyoto (Japan), Luang Prabang (Laos) and Galle (Sri Lanka).
