First time vacationing on the peninsula 650 million VND/night in Van Phong Bay

Located in the middle of Van Phong Bay (Khanh Hoa), the first private resort in Vietnam exclusively for the super-rich offers a secluded experience, with a price of more than half a billion VND/night.

I arrived at this resort on a moonlit night, when the flight landed at Cam Ranh airport at 8pm, then continued the journey of nearly 3 hours by car and canoe to the resort. The boat driver and the resort staff welcomed me with headlights on their helmets, leading the way through the fish and shrimp rafts stretching across Van Phong Bay. The pitch-black night made it impossible for me to imagine anything around me, only seeing large, towering rocks blocking the way. After 5 minutes of gliding past the raft village, the only light came on: the resort appeared, nestled in a secluded, peaceful and mysterious strait.

As we got closer, under the flashlight, schools of fish suddenly jumped out, turning the water white, creating a scene that was both wild and lively. At exactly 11pm, Mr. Duy (operations manager) and two staff members were standing at the pier, smiling and welcoming. Taking my first step into this luxurious resort, I felt like I had just left the familiar world to enter a completely private, polite and different space.

Dawn on the 'peninsula for the super-rich'

At 7:30 a.m., the phone rang repeatedly, urging me to join in. After a long night of traveling, I was almost exhausted, while many people had gotten up at 5:30 to welcome the sunrise on the bay. Through the glass window, the scenery opened up, making me speechless: Van Phong Bay - one of the most beautiful bays in the world appeared in blue before my eyes. The resort was nestled in the forest, in front of it was a crescent-shaped strait embracing the fine white sand. In the distance, the bustling lobster farming village, close enough to observe the rhythm of life, but far enough to maintain absolute privacy.

The turquoise sea lapped gently against the shore, bringing a rare sense of peace. At that moment, I felt completely enveloped, separated from the chaos outside.

The 6-hectare resort is equipped with enough space for many physical activities: pickleball, badminton, volleyball, fishing and even golf. Laughter and the sound of rackets hitting the shuttlecock echoes amidst the wild sea and mountain scenery.

Those who love the tranquility choose to paddle SUP on the turquoise water, letting their souls admire the bay scenery.

Variety of sports on the peninsula: badminton, paddle boarding, gym, pickleball, beach volleyball...

The difference is that all activities take place in a completely independent space, without crowding or noise. It all can be summed up in one word: "comfortable".

I stayed at the Signature Building, but still had the opportunity to experience the Presidential Suite - a mansion with a rental price of 260 million VND/night, usually reserved for politicians and the super rich. On a rainy afternoon, we were invited to have a light party here, sitting on the super wide balcony, sipping wine, local grilled squid and chatting together.

The most impressive thing is the interior architecture. The large wooden door leading to the second floor is like the entrance to an art exhibition. As a person who loves to cook, I was overwhelmed by the nearly 3 meter long kitchen table, designed like a leaf or a boat. The giant sofa in the living room can accommodate more than 20 people. The long, curved lamp looks like a peach blossom branch reaching down to embrace the space. Everything from the sound system, lighting to every detail of the interior exudes luxury.

Walking around, I counted three or four secondary bedrooms, each as spacious and comfortable as the main room. The Presidential Suite also has its own meeting room, kitchen, and even a space for servants, ensuring the owner doesn’t have to do any of the work.

In the evening, the seafood feast was served. The butler and chef introduced the dishes, most of which were harvested by local people diving in the sea. We enjoyed from grilled sea urchins with rich egg sauce, Dam Mon lemongrass-smoked snails with thick and firm meat, to sea urchin porridge with quail eggs, which seemed light but was full of the flavor of the sea. The whole table agreed that "too much protein" but it was fresh, delicious and memorable protein.

After dinner, the whole group was invited to the karaoke room. I often go to sing, but I have never seen such a large and luxurious karaoke space. The LED screen is as big as a movie theater, microphones are placed on each table, and the sound system is lively. Four waiters are on duty, constantly bringing fruits and drinks. The singing and laughter resonate, gradually erasing the distance between the new acquaintances, leaving an unforgettable night on the island.

The trend of super luxury tourism in Vietnam

During the conversation, the resort CEO shared: "In addition to 5-star facilities and services, what high-class guests desire most is sophistication. We pay attention to every emotion and desire of our guests. If they like a certain item, we are ready to prepare and send it as a gift, of course not things mounted on the wall," he laughed.

That is also the philosophy that the resort aims for when providing a personalized, sincere and different experience, where every small detail can become a memorable memory.

Luxury travel trends for the super-rich in Vietnam

VIAS Resort Van Phong Peninsula is the first private resort in Vietnam to operate under the model of "serving only the super-rich". Priced from 260 to 650 million VND/night, with a maximum capacity of 100 guests, with 25 private service staff, this resort does not sell individual rooms but only rents out the entire building or the entire peninsula.

This is a new step, when the Vietnamese market has begun to exploit the super luxury tourism segment as seen in Maldives, Dubai or Bora Bora. The domestic super-rich class is increasing and the number of high-class international tourists coming to Vietnam is increasing, models like Van Phong not only have business significance but also contribute to putting Vietnamese tourism on the global "travel luxury" map.

Instead of landing at Cam Ranh airport and having to travel nearly 3 hours to Van Phong, visitors can choose Tuy Hoa airport (Phu Yen) , only about 1 hour drive from the resort. After that, the resort arranges a private canoe to pick up guests at Dam Mon pier , and it only takes about 15 minutes to surf the sea to set foot on the isolated peninsula.
