Positive signals of HAGL
After a deadlocked start with 7 rounds of the season without knowing the taste of victory, HAGL is gradually returning with positive signs. The mountain town team is undefeated in the last 2 rounds, when they beat The Cong Viettel 2-1 and drew 2-2 with the reigning champion Nam Dinh , two teams considered "giants" of the V-League. From the bottom of the rankings, HAGL is igniting the hope of a breakthrough, and if they can take advantage of a favorable match schedule before the FIFA Days holiday in November, they can completely escape the crisis.
The victory over The Cong Viettel is considered a major turning point. Not only because of the first three points of the season, but also because of the way HAGL showed a completely different spirit: tight defense, coherent and effective attack. Unnecessary mistakes in defense have been significantly reduced. Coach Le Quang Trai and Technical Director Vu Tien Thanh are bringing a new look to the team.

The 2-2 draw against defending champion Nam Dinh in round 9 was another proof: HAGL now does not collapse when opening the score and then falling behind. The team from the mountain town fought tenaciously, counterattacked in an organized manner and kept their spirit until the last minute. That was an important psychological change. Those two unbeaten matches were like a resuscitation medicine, helping coach Le Quang Trai and his team regain the confidence they had lost since the beginning of the season.
Breakthrough opportunity
HAGL is still at the bottom of the rankings after 9 rounds, with 7 points (only 8 matches played), goal difference -6 (5 goals scored, 11 goals conceded). However, HAGL can completely improve its position. A clear opportunity lies ahead. Before pausing to make way for FIFA Days in November, V-League has 2 more rounds. HAGL will meet Ha Tinh Club and Thanh Hoa Club - two not-so-strong teams. Thanh Hoa Club is in the same situation, having 7 points like HAGL and ranking right above (13th) thanks to a better sub-index. Notably, the Thanh team rested in round 10, before facing HAGL in round 11. That gives the mountain town team a big advantage in terms of timing and excitement.
Looking at the lower group, HAGL's advantage is even more obvious. Teams with 7 points like SLNA, Da Nang Club and PVF-CAND all face "big guys": SLNA meets Ninh Binh Club and Becamex TP.HCM; Da Nang Club faces Ho Chi Minh City Police Club and Hai Phong Club; and PVF-CAND faces Hanoi Club and The Cong Viettel. That schedule is like a "hanging rack" for struggling teams, while HAGL is given a ladder to climb.
Of course, HAGL’s road to recovery is still full of obstacles. The defense is still unstable, and the squad depth is not really good. But at this point, the most important thing is spirit. After two emotional matches, HAGL has proven that they are not giving up, but are learning to stand up from the crisis. If they can maintain this momentum, the last two matches before the FIFA Days holiday can become a launching pad. Good results against Ha Tinh and Thanh Hoa clubs will not only help HAGL escape the bottom of the table, but also create great psychological momentum for the rest of the season.
