The coffee market is in a new price zone, reflecting a balance between supply and demand. Stable global demand and a weaker US dollar are helping coffee prices remain around current levels, with some potential upside if weather conditions worsen in major growing regions.

Coffee prices are likely to remain flat or decline slightly this week. If rains continue in the Central Highlands and southern Brazil, prices could fall further. Conversely, dry weather during the harvest season could cause prices to rebound.

The market is in a short-term correction phase after a prolonged increase. Price stability will depend on the weather and purchasing activities of export enterprises.

Coffee growers and dealers should closely monitor developments to have appropriate buying and selling plans, avoid risks due to unexpected fluctuations and take advantage of opportunities from price adjustments.

Specialty coffee accounts for only about 20% of global production, but accounts for 40% of market value. This figure shows that this is a potential direction to help increase the value of the Vietnamese coffee industry, especially in the context of the rapidly increasing demand for high-quality products in the world.

Many international specialty coffee chains have begun to look to farms in Vietnam for long-term orders and cooperation. This opens up great opportunities for domestic farmers and businesses as Vietnamese products are recognized in the high-end, more profitable segment.

At the Coffee Expo exhibition held in Ho Chi Minh City, many award-winning coffee samples from the Vietnam Specialty Coffee competition were introduced and attracted strong attention. These products were highly appreciated for both flavor and processing quality, affirming the new position of Vietnamese coffee on the world coffee map.

Some green coffee samples are sold for up to 650,000 VND/kg, many times higher than commercial coffee. Despite the high price, many customers are still willing to buy, showing the great potential of the specialty coffee segment and the sustainable development direction for the Vietnamese coffee industry in the future.
