The 2025 Hanoi Moi Newspaper Open Table Tennis Tournament took place from November 7 to 9 at Cau Giay Stadium (Hanoi) attracting the participation of 80 units such as Hanoi, CAND - T&T, Vinh Long, Ho Chi Minh City, Lam Dong, Da Nang , Nghe An, Hung Yen, Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen, Quang Ninh, Thanh Hoa... with a total of nearly 400 players competing in a total of 12 events.

Notably, this year's tournament has seen dozens more teams participating in the men's amateur team event compared to last season, demonstrating the tournament's appeal to table tennis lovers in the capital.

The new feature of this year's tournament is that the organizers applied the new Olympic format (1 doubles match, 4 singles matches) for the men's team event, replacing the previous Swaythling format (5 singles matches). This change is to increase the attractiveness and attract athletes to participate. With a large number of athletes competing, the organizers mobilized more than 40 national-level referees to manage, ensuring professional quality.

This year's tournament will feature the participation of many former national players such as Vu Thi Noel En, Nguyen Bich Ngoc, Nguyen Thi Mai, Nguyen Tuan Quynh, Vu Quang Hien, along with strong players such as Nguyen Dang Hiep, Bui The Nghia, Vu Manh Huy, Nguyen Nhu Phong, Tran Manh Cuong, Nguyen Hoang Lam, Ta Hong Khanh, Le Van Duc, Lam Thu Cuc, Hoang Tra My, Tran Dieu Linh, Vu Hoai Thanh... promising to bring exciting matches with high professional quality.
