
Through inspection, the commune recorded that at the Viet Farm project site, there were two reservoirs with broken walls, including: A large reservoir with an area of about 18.4 hectares and a broken wall length of about 48 meters; a small adjacent reservoir with an area of about 4.1 hectares and a broken wall length of about 37 meters. The incident caused 109 households to suffer damage to crops, plants, and livestock, with an affected land area of about 100 hectares.

Currently, the commune has finished cleaning up the Commune Cultural House to ensure a safe gathering point, 1km from the commune center, located on high ground, convenient for transportation, and not flooded when the flood comes. The Cultural House can accommodate about 400 people and has provisions for food, drinking water, medicine... for people when needed.

The locality coordinated with Tuy Phong Electricity, the Irrigation Project Management Board, and mobilized dump trucks and bulldozers to support people in temporarily reinforcing and clearing ditches, basically restoring traffic.

In the coming time, the commune will continue to direct the work of counting, counting, and calculating the full damage to land, crops, livestock, and plants of the people to direct the stabilization of life. In addition, Tuy Phong will coordinate with the functional forces to fully assess the cause of the lake break, coordinate to check the legality of the reservoirs at the Trang Trai Viet project for handling. In addition, the Trang Trai Viet project is required to temporarily stop storing water in the ponds on the farm to avoid incidents.

The Commune People's Committee requested the Provincial People's Committee to promptly direct relevant agencies to coordinate with Tuy Phong to inspect the safety level of the lake and determine the cause of the incident to resolve it according to the provisions of law.
