Yesterday afternoon (October 29), while cutting down trees that were at risk of falling down D'ran Pass, workers discovered a large crack along the hill and reported it to relevant units. Upon inspection, the area of ​​land with the crack was about 3,500m 2 and more than 30m high, the volume of soil and rock that needed to be treated was about 60,000m 3 . Currently, relevant units are planning to treat this amount of soil and rock before allowing vehicles to pass through D'ran Pass.

Regarding the treatment of cracks under the road surface, currently, 886 - Thanh Nam Construction Investment Joint Stock Company (the regular maintenance unit of National Highway 20) is coordinating with relevant units to evaluate and develop a solution.

Currently, the landslide-prone area on D'ran Pass is still potentially dangerous, so the authorities have not allowed vehicles to pass. The authorities have placed warning and guidance signs at both ends of the pass so that vehicles can find safer routes. In addition, the police have also arranged 24/7 staff to regulate and guide vehicles.

To ensure safety, the authorities recommend that vehicles traveling from Khanh Hoa province to Da Lat area follow Ngoan Muc pass. Vehicles should choose the route from D'ran commune along National Highway 27, then turn to National Highway 20 to go to Da Lat via Prenn pass or Mimosa pass, to ensure safety and avoid landslide areas.
