Yesterday afternoon (October 29th), while cutting down trees at risk of falling down the D'ran pass, workers discovered a large crack running along the hillside and reported it to the relevant authorities. Upon inspection, the cracked area covered approximately 3,500 square meters and was over 30 meters high, requiring the removal of about 60,000 cubic meters of soil and rock. Currently, the relevant units are developing a plan to remove this debris before allowing vehicles to pass through the D'ran pass.

Regarding the handling of cracks under the road surface, the 886 - Thanh Nam Construction Investment Joint Stock Company (the unit responsible for regular maintenance of National Highway 20) is currently coordinating with relevant units to assess and develop a plan for remediation.
Currently, the landslide-prone area on D'ran Pass still poses significant danger, so authorities have not yet allowed vehicles to pass through. Warning signs and directions have been placed at both ends of the pass to guide vehicles to safer alternative routes. In addition, the police have deployed officers on duty 24/7 to regulate and guide traffic.

To ensure safety, authorities advise vehicles traveling from Khanh Hoa province to the Da Lat area via Ngoan Muc Pass to choose a route from D'ran commune along National Highway 27, then loop onto National Highway 20 to reach Da Lat via Prenn Pass or Mimosa Pass, in order to ensure safety and avoid landslide-prone areas.
