The document stated that currently, according to forecasts, rainfall is expected to increase sharply. At some irrigation works, the water level is higher than the normal water level, the water level is complicated and may affect Lam Dong province. Heavy rain causes flooding, with a very high risk of flash floods, landslides and widespread flooding, especially in areas with steep terrain and weak soil.
To proactively respond, minimize damage and ensure safety for people and property at educational institutions, the Department of Education and Training recommends that heads of educational institutions closely monitor the developments of rain and floods; maintain regular contact with authorities and local rescue forces to promptly respond in case of incidents.

Educational institutions need to be proactive and ready with plans for online learning, and for students to take time off from school during the rainy and flood-prone days. At the same time, they need to urgently develop plans to repair and reinforce structures at risk of being unsafe; coordinate with specialized units to trim the green tree system inside the school, check the sewer system, and the power grid to ensure the safety of students, teachers, and administrators before floods occur.

Along with that, prepare plans to evacuate students and teachers to safe places; move documents and equipment before flooding occurs; proactively coordinate with local authorities to receive support in terms of expertise, materials and equipment when situations arise.
Units proactively coordinate with the local Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue to organize propaganda and training for teachers and students on disaster response skills, first aid and safety in emergency situations; direct subject groups to organize specialized and extracurricular activities for students on natural disaster prevention and control.

At the same time, promptly repair damages, clean up and sanitize schools and classrooms immediately after rain and floods to ensure safety, cleanliness and prevent epidemics in the unit. Heads of educational institutions arrange plans for make-up classes, supplement knowledge, and ensure the program and plan of the school year.
