Up to now, more than 1 thousand ships have entered safe shelters before the storm.

Coastal border guards have closely coordinated with local authorities to guide and call on ships to take shelter in safe places; check and count to ensure that no more vessels are operating at sea. By October 21, all 1,075 vessels with 7,657 workers in Hue city have been arranged and anchored safely.

The Hue City Border Guard Command directed units to proactively grasp the situation, forecast storm developments; coordinate with local authorities to review and develop plans to promptly support and evacuate people in vulnerable areas to safety.

Implementing the "4 on-the-spot" motto, Hue City Border Guard maintains nearly 400 officers, soldiers and 28 vehicles ready to respond; ensuring that on-duty, communication, warning, rescue and relief work are maintained seriously. "Currently, units are strengthening monitoring, grasping the developments and movement of the storm to handle it promptly, in order to ensure absolute safety for people's lives and property" - Colonel Hoang Minh Hung, Commander of Hue City Border Guard said.
