Digital transformation in the spirit of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW and the application of AI in propaganda and mass mobilization work.

On the afternoon of April 3rd, under the chairmanship of Politburo member, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party, and Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department Nguyen Trong Nghia, the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department organized a thematic information conference on "Digital transformation in the spirit of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW and the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in propaganda and mass mobilization work".

Attending the Conference were Central Committee members: Lai Xuan Mon, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; Huynh Thanh Dat, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; Pham Tat Thang, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; Ngo Dong Hai, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; experts, scientists ; speakers and all cadres, civil servants, employees and workers of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department…

In his opening remarks at the conference, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department Huynh Thanh Dat emphasized that we are living in the era of the 4.0 industrial revolution with the strong explosion of digital technology, AI, big data, and cloud computing... In particular, digital transformation has become an inevitable global trend, profoundly impacting all areas of socio-economic life. Recognizing this, on December 22, 2024, the Politburo of the 13th Party Congress issued Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on "Breakthroughs in the development of science and technology, innovation, and national digital transformation."

The Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department affirmed that immediately after Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW was issued, the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department quickly implemented and issued Guidance No. 186-HD/BTGTW on the dissemination and promotion of Resolution 57-NQ/TW; organized the implementation of the television program "Light of Knowledge"; and organized the implementation of the television program "Digital Citizen". At the same time, it advised the Central Steering Committee on the development of science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation, launched the "Digital Literacy Movement"; and organized the compilation of a Q&A document on Resolution 57-NQ/TW.

Huynh Thanh Dat, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, delivered a speech.

“The thematic information conference is an important and practical activity aimed at raising awareness, exchanging experiences, and clarifying core issues on digital transformation and AI application in propaganda and mass mobilization work, contributing to the successful implementation of the political tasks of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department in the new situation,” the Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department emphasized, while expressing confidence that, with a spirit of learning, innovation, and creativity, the conference will provide much useful knowledge, contributing to promoting the digital transformation process in propaganda and mass mobilization work, meeting the requirements of the new situation.

At the conference, delegates heard presentations on two important topics: “Digital transformation in propaganda and mass mobilization work - Opportunities and challenges” and “Application of artificial intelligence in propaganda and mass mobilization work - Solutions and prospects”. The reports analyzed the impact of digital technology and artificial intelligence on the field of propaganda and mass mobilization, and offered specific solutions to improve the effectiveness of this work in the future.

The delegates also exchanged and discussed practical issues in implementing digital transformation and applying artificial intelligence in propaganda and mass mobilization work; shared practical experiences and proposed effective technology application models and methods.

In his concluding remarks at the conference, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department Huynh Thanh Dat affirmed that digital transformation and the application of artificial intelligence are not simply about applying technology, but a process of innovating thinking and working methods to improve work efficiency and meet the requirements of the new situation. Integrating AI into propaganda and mobilization work will enhance access to and use of data, while also supporting improvements in communication methods and increasing interaction with the people on digital transformation platforms.

Emphasizing that the knowledge and experience shared at the Conference will be an important foundation for each official, civil servant, and employee to apply to their practical work, the Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department suggested that it is necessary to continue raising awareness of the role and importance of digital transformation and the application of artificial intelligence in propaganda and mass mobilization work. Each official, civil servant, and employee needs to proactively update their knowledge and improve their skills to effectively apply technology to their work.

Furthermore, it is necessary to promote the application of digital technology and artificial intelligence; build engaging communication content, utilize technology platforms to disseminate official information, guide public opinion, and combat false narratives. Strengthen cooperation among units in implementing digital transformation and applying artificial intelligence to share data and experience, thereby improving work efficiency and avoiding duplication and waste.
