Travel specialist Lonely Planet shares in an article that thanks to its beaches, historical sites, mountain hikes and irresistible cuisine, Vietnam has been attracting tourists from all over the world . However, according to the editors of the famous guidebook, there are three 'secret' but extremely wonderful destinations in Vietnam that foreign tourists should not miss on their trip.
'Coffee Paradise' Buon Ma Thuot

“If you are a coffee lover, Buon Ma Thuot is your paradise. This land hidden in the Central Highlands of Vietnam is famous for its coffee culture,” said Lonely Planet .
The popular travel site notes that visitors can enjoy guided tours of lush coffee plantations, take in the aroma of freshly roasted beans, or even learn how to make their own cup of Vietnamese-style coffee.
However, besides the great coffee culture, Buon Ma Thuot has many more interesting things to discover .
According to Lonely Planet , mysterious waterfalls like Dray Nur and Dray Sap will surely remind many visitors of images in fairy tales.
Alternatively, if you want to really immerse yourself in the local culture, a visit to Lak Lake is a must. This peaceful oasis is surrounded by charming villages and is home to the friendly M’Nong ethnic group, who live in impressive stilt-house settlements.
'Fish sauce kingdom' Chau Doc

According to information suggested by Lonely Planet , in addition to traveling to the Mekong Delta, tourists should visit Chau Doc floating market, which promises to bring unique culinary adventures thanks to the unusual diversity of fish caught from the river.
“Don’t miss the famous variety of fish sauces, made from a variety of fish such as snakehead fish, catfish and anchovies,” Lonely Planet notes. They also recommend bun mam and lau mam (fish sauce hotpot) as two dishes that offer a delicious combination of shrimp, fish, meat and more than 20 different vegetables and herbs.
Another must-see destination in the area is the Tra Su Melaleuca Forest, a famously beautiful conservation area in Vietnam. The best time to visit this unique ecosystem is during and just after the monsoon season, which lasts from June to November.

Bach Ma National Park is a wonderful treasure trove of natural wonders with awe-inspiring scenery, towering waterfalls nearly 300m high and a remarkable flora and fauna. The ideal time to visit Lang Co is from March to July, when the weather is sunny and there is little rain.
