CAHN Club asks The Cong Viettel to find another stadium to replace Hang Day

On April 15, The Cong Viettel Club received a document from the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports agreeing to host the 20th, 21st and 24th rounds of V.League 2024/25 at Hang Day Stadium. Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF) - the organizing board of national professional tournaments, also agreed to let the army team borrow Hang Day Stadium as a temporary home ground for the above 3 rounds.

The reason for this is because My Dinh Stadium, where The Cong Viettel registered as their home stadium, will host a cultural event around the end of April.

Here comes the problem. CAHN and Hanoi are the two teams that have registered Hang Day Stadium as their home ground since the beginning of the season. CAHN Club, in addition to V.League and National Cup, also has another important front: ASEAN Club Championship (Southeast Asian Club Cup).

Concerned about the field not being suitable for the second leg of the semi-final against PSM Makassar, CAHN sent a dispatch to The Cong Viettel Club to ask the army team to find another field.

According to Tri Thuc - Znews 's investigation, the reason given by CAHN Club is that according to information from the Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, there may be rain from April 25 to May 3. If Hang Day Stadium organizes 3 matches from April 25 to April 30, the field surface will not meet standards.

On April 28, 2 days before the match between CAHN Club and PSM Makassar, representatives of the organizing committee (under the Southeast Asian Football Federation - AFF) will directly survey Hang Day Stadium. CAHN Club is concerned that if there are consequences, the team will lose the advantage of playing at home, affecting the fighting spirit of not only CAHN Club but also the opponent, because the move has been planned in advance.

CAHN Club also cited that in early February, AFF reflected that the quality of Hang Day Stadium did not really meet the competition standards. Therefore, the police team urgently requested The Cong Viettel to share the difficulties, for the success of Vietnamese football, to find another stadium to organize the match on April 25.

According to Tri Thuc - ZNews , The Cong Viettel Club also responded to the official dispatch of CAHN Club, affirming that it will continue to maintain the plan to organize the matches of rounds 20, 21 and 24 of V.League on April 25, May 2 and May 23.

The Viettel The Cong Club cited the approval of VPF and the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports to temporarily organize the competition at Hang Day Stadium for these 3 rounds. At the same time, due to the urgent time, the club did not have time to find another stadium as requested by the CAHN team. The Viettel The Cong Club also agreed to share the difficulties with the CAHN team by not organizing training sessions (as usual) at Hang Day Stadium before each match.
