In the 5 years from 2020 to 2025, An Giang agriculture continues to affirm its pivotal role with rice output maintained at over 8.8 million tons per year, of which high-quality rice accounts for over 76%. Many key crops such as mango, coconut, and pineapple maintain stable growth, contributing to increasing the value of the crop industry. Livestock recorded a strong shift as the pig herd increased rapidly, while the cow herd decreased. Aquaculture achieved an average growth rate of 7.7% per year, becoming a prominent development direction alongside exploitation. Forestry maintained a stable forest area and coverage rate of about 8.8%, ensuring ecological balance. These figures show that An Giang agriculture is gradually shifting from "quantity" to "quality".
