On the morning of November 17, heavy rains in Thuan Bac and Xuan Hai communes caused deep flooding in many areas, disrupting traffic and seriously affecting people's lives. Records at the scene showed that the authorities were urgently responding to ensure people's safety.

Firefighting and rescue forces (114) of region 8 approached and assisted in evacuating people and vehicles trapped at Du Long Industrial Park (Thuan Bac commune).

In Thuan Bac commune, from 4 a.m., many irrigation reservoirs began to overflow, causing water to rise, deeply flooding villages and production areas. The area of ​​Ninh Thuan Construction Joint Stock Company (Ba Thap village) was completely isolated. Nearly 60 officers and workers were temporarily off work. Mr. Le Minh Canh - Deputy General Director of the Company, said: "Due to the power outage, the brick kiln stopped operating. Currently, about 1 million bricks of the company are damaged, of which 800,000 are raw bricks and 200,000 bricks were stacked on gongs and were soaked in water. Currently, the company has stopped operating, we only left security forces on duty because the water rose too quickly."

The road to Go Den village is deeply flooded.

Not only the production area, people's lives were also severely affected. In Go Den village, Xuan Hai commune, Ms. Nguyen Thi Toi said: "My family of 10 had to evacuate from 6 am because water flooded into the house. We did not have time to react, only had time to bring the elderly and children to safety, and had to rely on the commune's forces to support our assets."

At the same time, Ho Diem village (Xuan Hai commune) was isolated by floodwaters. Rescue forces, commune police, militia, and youth union members evacuated people and their properties from the danger zone. Many households were deeply flooded, and authorities had to use boats to reach them.

The functional forces of Xuan Hai commune supported the people of Ho Diem village to evacuate to safety.

Prolonged heavy rain caused Ho Diem village, Xuan Hai commune to be isolated.

Many houses in Ho Diem village were submerged in water.

At Du Long Industrial Park (Thuan Bac commune), the water rose suddenly, by 5:30 a.m. some places were flooded 1 - 1.5 meters deep, accompanied by strong currents and dangerous rapids. Mr. Nguyen Van Sang - Deputy Director of Hoang Thanh Du Long Industrial Park Investment Joint Stock Company, said: "The entire industrial park currently has 3 operating units. As soon as the floodwaters rose rapidly, the Management Board requested the factories to notify all 6,000 workers to stop working to ensure safety."

According to Mr. Sang, most of the projects in the industrial park are under construction so no casualties have been recorded. However, some units are facing difficulties due to isolation, such as: Innoflow NT Limited Liability Company has 12 people trapped, and Hoang Thanh Do Luong Production and Investment Joint Stock Company has 10 people trapped in deep water.

Firefighting and rescue team (114) region 8 is always ready to be on duty and respond to emergency situations.

At around 8 a.m., six police officers from Thuan Bac commune approached Du Long Industrial Park to provide assistance but were isolated by high water and unable to move on. Upon receiving the news, the firefighting and rescue force (114) of Region 8 deployed specialized vehicles to bring all six officers and 24 workers out safely. Major Do Van Chung, Captain of the Firefighting and Rescue Team of Region 8, said: "The force has mobilized maximum vehicles and equipment. The terrain is deeply flooded and the current is strong, but we are trying to approach with specialized vehicles and safety belts to bring people out of the dangerous area as quickly as possible."

Currently, localities continue to monitor water levels, deploy forces to support people, and warn people to limit travel to deep water areas to ensure safety.
