Can I register to study at the same time at a school of the People's Public Security Forces and a school outside the People's Public Security Forces?

Responding to a student's question about currently studying at the Vietnam Youth Academy and wanting to take an additional exam to enroll in one of the schools of the People's Public Security Forces to study at two schools at the same time, the Ministry of Public Security said that according to the Ministry's regulations, candidates are not allowed to register to study for two university degrees in parallel while studying at training institutions outside the People's Public Security Forces.

In addition, candidates are not allowed to register with many admission boards, many schools, many majors to participate in the registration for admission to the People's Public Security Forces.

Candidates must meet political and health standards, specifically:

+ Meet political and moral standards according to current regulations of the Ministry of Public Security in Circular No. 48/2023/TT-BCA dated October 10, 2023 of the Minister of Public Security stipulating political standards of police officers and soldiers, Instruction No. 19119/X01-P6 dated November 23, 2023 of X01 and 19129/HD-TCCB dated November 23, 2023 of X01.

+ Be healthy enough to recruit new members to the People's Public Security according to the provisions of Circular No. 62/2023/TT-BCA dated November 14, 2023 of the Minister of Public Security stipulating specific health standards and health examinations for the People's Public Security force (except for the health conditions "appendicitis has been operated on, good results" and "inguinal hernia has been operated on well, stable for over 1 year").

- Candidates are required to take the VB2CA assessment test of the Ministry of Public Security, which takes place in June every year. The test consists of 2 parts:

+ Part 1: Discussion on political, economic , cultural and social issues;

+ Part 2: Candidates choose 1 of 4 exam codes to take the exam, including: Advanced Mathematics; Macroeconomics; Philosophy; State and Law Theory to take the exam according to the major, group of majors, and registered school.
