The exhibition took place from June 3 to 9 at the Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Association, with 67 works. The theme throughout this series of works still revolves around the interaction between people, and between people and nature, homeland and cultural spaces. That is family affection, love of country, gentle memories...

In Weaving Silk Colors , silk is not only a material, but also plays the role of a storyteller. Stories of life, people, homeland, and heart... are all "woven" with smooth color transitions. Through the exhibition, the group members hope to continue their journey of endless creativity in their relationship with silk and continue the stories of people, memories...

Diverse themes in the exhibition

For Thuc Quyen, the main theme of this series of works comes from her field trips to Hoi An, where she was attracted by the ancient and quiet beauty of the old town. At the same time, Ho Chi Minh City - where the artist lives, also appears in her paintings with a different dynamic and familiar shade but hidden in silence. Meanwhile, the author Do Quyen finds in her series of works the love for her family. Through her works, she conveys her mother's dream that her children will grasp their destiny to realize their ambitions.

Tieu Tan wishes her paintings to be not noisy, not implying many complex layers of meaning, but to bring sincerity about love of life. She chose to exploit familiar themes such as homeland, country, sea and islands through the works Meeting mother in Truong Sa, I am big, Unspoken love song...

Although each artist chooses to tell a different story, the common point is the connection with silk painting.

In his return to the exhibition this time, Luong Hien brings a series of works with the theme of Family Tradition - a simple but profound concept, containing love, memories and spiritual values preserved and passed down through many generations. Meanwhile, artist Hoang Hong chose to record his very own feelings about the Southern region, with its vast fields stretching as far as the eye can see, with its honest and open-minded people...
