A delegation from Leipzig (Federal Republic of Germany) visited the facilities of the Vietnam College of Medical and Pharmaceutical Technology.

Specifically, the city of Leipzig will support Hospital 199 in developing a rehabilitation center, establishing and developing sports medicine, and developing a spa and wellness center. With the participation of numerous institutions and organizations such as St. Georg Hospital, Apelos Hospital, Eisenmoorbad Bad Schmiedeberg Hospital, Leipzig Cardiovascular Center, Leipzig University Hospital, etc., the city of Leipzig is helping Hospital 199 build a modern medical foundation and provide higher-quality healthcare services.

At the same time, the city of Leipzig will cooperate with the Vietnam College of Medical and Pharmaceutical Technology in the selection and training of medical personnel, and in proposing and assigning medical staff to healthcare facilities in Leipzig and throughout Germany.

In addition, the Vietnam College of Medical and Pharmaceutical Technology will support the training of other experts from Leipzig in fields such as culinary arts , hospitality, construction, and industry, through visits and expert exchanges, expert training, technology transfer, and cooperation in information dissemination and communication activities.

Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam College of Medical and Pharmaceutical Technology, said that the school has a training capacity of 8,000 students, focusing on health-related professions, mainly general practitioners, traditional medicine, nursing, and beauty care.

According to Mr. Tuan, Germany is currently experiencing a labor shortage, so this is an opportunity for the school to send Vietnamese students to Germany to study and work. "We are committed to providing high-quality human resources in the spirit of upholding the law of the Federal Republic of Germany," Mr. Tuan emphasized.

Sebastian Kratsch, Head of Economic Development in Leipzig, believes that Leipzig and Germany are in great need of labor. According to Kratsch, Leipzig is embracing the concept of a health economy, with medicine and pharmaceuticals as key sectors.

"The city of Leipzig has a particularly good relationship with Vietnam. Leipzig is a center in Germany for cooperation with Vietnam, and this cooperation began in the field of medicine," said Mr. Kratsch.
