Many real estate stocks such as NVL, PDR, NLG, DIG caught the price increase wave after money flowed out of banking and securities stocks.
Some securities companies predicted before today's session that the market would be under pressure to correct when investors took profits from stocks that had increased sharply in the last four sessions. In fact, the index representing the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange reversed many times from increasing to decreasing when selling pressure rose in the pillars of the banking and securities group such as VCB, BID, VND, SSI.
However, by the end of the session, VN-Index remained green with an increase of 1.23 points, closing close to 1,110 points. The main driving force for the fifth consecutive increase came from massive cash flow disbursed into real estate stocks.
No Va Real Estate Investment Group (NVL) shares today increased to the maximum range of VND14,550 with no sellers. The liquidity of this stock reached over VND750 billion, the highest level in nearly two months. Similarly, Phat Dat (PDR) shares hit the ceiling to the highest price in half a year with a total matched value of over VND350 billion.
Not only the two pillar stocks, small-cap stocks in the real estate group such as QCG, ITA, LDG, DXS, IJC all fluctuated strongly with an increase of over 4%. VRE is one of the few real estate stocks that went against the market trend, but the decrease was not more than 0.5%.
In addition to real estate, steel stocks also showed excitement. HPG increased by 3.9% to VND22,600 - the highest price in the past 9 months - and led the market in matching orders with more than VND1,240 billion. NKG, HSH, TLH also increased by more than 1.5% while POM hit the ceiling and had "no sell side" for three consecutive sessions.
After a strong sell-off last weekend, foreign investors also returned to net buying. Today is the second consecutive session that this group has disbursed over VND1,000 billion. VHM, SSI, and GEX are the three stocks that have attracted the most foreign cash flow.
