Investigators announce 12 types of fake milk powder

Regarding the 84 types of milk that the authorities seized in the production line of 573 types of fake milk powder, the police force determined that 12 types were fake.

Information from the Ministry of Public Security said that initial investigation results determined that the fake milk line of Rance Pharma Company and Hacofood Group produced 84 types of powdered milk and more than 26,000 cans of milk.

Currently, the police have identified 12 types of powdered milk with quality indicators of some main substances reaching less than 70% compared to the announcement, also known as fake goods; the remaining 72 products are being clarified.

Accordingly, the 12 types of fake milk include: COLOS IQ FOR MUM supplement; COLOS IQ DIABETES supplement; DARIFA A+ ProGold supplement; KENMIL PREMIUM PEDIA GOAT formula nutritional product; SURE IQ SURE GOLD special diet food; Kodo A+ Starter Colostrum 1 formula nutritional product; L'' GRAND COLOSTRUM PEDIA+2 formula nutritional product; Newsure Colos 24h Kid Plus formula nutritional product; Kid Baby Talacmum formula nutritional product; Gludiabet Talacmum special diet food; KASUMI CANXI NANO COLOS 24H special diet food; KASUMI GAIN COLOS 24H 3 nutritional product.

A list of 12 types of fake milk in the fake milk ring of Rance Pharma Company and Hacofood Group has just been discovered by the police.

Regarding the large-scale production and consumption of fake milk powder, the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency (C01) has prosecuted 8 defendants for the crimes of Producing and trading in fake food products and Violating accounting regulations causing serious consequences.

This fake milk production line has been operating since August 2021 when Hoang Manh Ha and Vu Manh Cuong realized the increasing demand for domestic milk powder. The two then contributed capital to establish Rance Pharma and Hacofood Group and managed all activities from production, business to consumption.

At the investigation agency, the defendants Ha and Cuong stated that all information and nutritional content for the production of powdered milk were not checked. The company almost did not actually test all the nutrients in the milk.

According to the accusation, the declared ingredients include bird's nest extract, cordyceps, macadamia powder, and walnut powder, but in reality they do not exist. To deceive users, this group removed some of the input materials and replaced them with other additives.

Fake milk powders from Hacofood Group and Rance Pharma are distributed nationwide, mainly for people with diabetes, kidney failure, premature babies, and pregnant women. But in reality, these products share the same ingredients, formula, and production process.

The defendants directed the addition or replacement of some main ingredients, added flavors and additives to deceive consumers about the product's uses.
