A series of concerts and shows taking place recently show that the Vietnamese cultural and entertainment market has an audience.

The programs V Concert, V Fest, and Fatherland in the Heart attracted a total of nearly 100,000 audiences.

Last year, the two programs Anh trai vu ngan cong gai and Anh trai say hi "dai nao" with a series of concerts held in both the South and the North, each night attracted 20,000 - 30,000 spectators, opening unprecedented precedents for the Vietnamese music /performance industry.

The heat of the "big brothers" continued into this year when Say Hi Brother took the opportunity to "contribute" a few tens of thousands of spectators on night 6 in the pouring rain at My Dinh Stadium before "going abroad" to Las Vegas (USA); and " Overcoming a thousand obstacles" still had two nights, 7 and 8, to close the series in September in Ho Chi Minh City.

The transformation of the performance industry

With the success of the two Anh trai i shows, besides the excitement and joy, there are also many people who are skeptical and think it is a temporary wave, the audience goes to concerts because they are "crazy about guys".

However, when witnessing tens of thousands of audiences recently attending "national concerts" (combining culture, politics , society and entertainment) such as V Concert, V Fest, Fatherland in the Heart ..., we can see a remarkable change in the domestic performance industry.

If the two Anh Trai shows are "the flagship of the Vietnamese performing arts industry" (as director Viet Tu told Tuoi Tre ), starting to create a new generation of young concert-going audiences, then recent concerts show other positive signs in many aspects.

Perhaps the most touching thing is that the elderly and workers from many walks of life who have never known the feeling of watching a concert now know it. That alone is an important cultural and entertainment experience, and Vietnamese audiences are gradually becoming a major driving force for the development of the cultural industry.

Concerts are no longer the "game" of the entertainment industry giants, but now public agencies, media, press... are also involved.

VTV first launched two consecutive programs in two days, V Concert and V Fest , and won brilliantly with a total of 50,000 viewers.

Nhan Dan Newspaper and Hanoi People's Committee have also done the "unimaginable" and spectacular with the program "Fatherland in the Heart" attracting more than 50,000 people with a diverse program format, a grandly invested stage, and gathering artists from many generations.

At 8Wonder , the organizers also brought to Vietnam the hottest artists of contemporary music in the world.

The entertainment industry is mentioned on a macro level.

Without comparing domestic shows with concerts by global stars like BlackPink or BTS, just comparing us today with us yesterday shows a remarkable progress.

No need to go far, just stay in the country to enjoy international-class concerts. When there is an audience, the market will automatically "live" in its own internal strength. The audience also "activates" production units to organize shows more and more professionally, meeting the increasing needs and aesthetics of the audience.

A few days ago, the Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to urgently complete the Entertainment Industry Development Project, report before August 15; approve the investment decision for the National Target Program on Cultural Development for the 2025-2035 period before September 10, 2025.

It is not by chance that the phrase "entertainment industry" has been mentioned so much recently, on a macro level as well as among audiences.

Wanting to have a truly prestigious and professional entertainment industry is a long road, and concerts like the recent past are hopeful first steps to shorten that long road.
