To date, thanks to the coordinated efforts between the provincial police task force and local police and authorities, nearly 20 tons of garbage, mud, rocks, branches, etc., have been cleared; approximately 200 fallen or broken trees along two roads, totaling over 7km, have been neatly cut and trimmed; and about 500 households along the two roads have received assistance in cleaning up their homes and relocating their belongings and property.

According to information from the provincial police task force, floodwaters have receded in the flood-stricken areas of Dak Lak province, and people who fled the deep floodwaters are now beginning to return to their homes. The life-or-death danger has passed after the floodwaters receded. However, the risk of environmental pollution and outbreaks of certain diseases remains if preventive measures and environmental protection are not implemented.

On Bach Dang and Le Thanh Phuong streets in Tuy Hoa ward, Dak Lak province, after the floodwaters receded, they were littered with garbage, mud, and animal carcasses… These two streets suffered the most severe damage in the recent floods. At the peak of the flood, the water level on these two streets exceeded 1.5 meters. The floodwaters swept away and damaged a great deal of property belonging to the local residents.

In Tuy Hoa ward, more than 100 officers and soldiers of the Dong Nai Provincial Police were divided into two teams and were present on Bach Dang and Le Thanh Phuong streets from early morning, coordinating with local forces and Phu Yen Urban Environment Joint Stock Company to clean up, collect garbage and mud, and trim fallen tree branches.

Lieutenant Colonel Luu Quang Huy, Deputy Head of the Mobile Police Department of Dong Nai Provincial Police, who directly commanded the task force, said: "From the moment we received the order from the Director of Dong Nai Provincial Police to go and provide assistance to the flood-affected areas, we pledged to resolutely complete the assigned task. The people in the flood-affected areas are in great need of support and assistance during this difficult time, so that their lives can return to normal as soon as possible. Therefore, upon arriving at the scene, we immediately deployed our forces to work."
In another effort, the rescue and relief task force of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Dong Nai province coordinated with the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police forces of Dak Lak province, Ho Chi Minh City, and teachers to clean and disinfect two schools in Hoa My commune, three schools in Tay Hoa commune, and two schools in Dong Hoa commune.
