Previously, at 2:00 p.m. on April 17, 2023, at Thuan An Hamlet, Truong Mit Commune, Duong Minh Chau District, Duong Minh Chau District Police caught Tran Minh Duc red-handed illegally buying and selling drugs. Searching the suspect's house in Thuan An Hamlet, the authorities seized over 5.4 grams of drugs and many other related exhibits.
During the initial investigation, Tran Minh Duc confessed: He is a drug addict. Because he wanted money to spend and buy drugs to use, Duc went to Ho Chi Minh City many times to buy drugs for an amount of 10 - 30 million VND, then brought them home to hide and resell to others to make illegal profits and have drugs to use.
The case is under further investigation.
