Rethinking, accelerating reforms, and comprehensive digital transformation.
According to statistics, Ca Mau province has completed the integration and provision of 1,848 out of 1,848 (100%) online public services on the National Public Service Portal. This also serves as a single "window" for carrying out all administrative procedures. Currently, the systems are operating stably and smoothly without interruption, meeting the requirements for administrative unit restructuring and implementing the two-tiered local government model.
Recognizing the importance of digital transformation, the Provincial Party Committee and the leadership of the Provincial Public Security Department have issued numerous plans and implemented policies and resolutions from higher levels regarding the development of science , technology, innovation, and national digital transformation, disseminating and thoroughly understanding them throughout the entire force.
The Provincial Police Department has built and deployed an internal network system connecting all 93/93 police units and localities in the province, creating a modern working environment that saves time and costs. They continue to utilize over 45 software and applications to support the work of the Provincial Police Department. Regular checks, guidance, and support are provided to resolve cybersecurity and information security issues, ensuring that the information systems within the Provincial Police Department operate stably and smoothly, meeting the requirements and tasks set forth.
Officers and soldiers of the Administrative Management and Social Order Police Department of the Provincial Police are strengthening the application of science and technology to effectively serve their professional work.
Implementing the Project “Development of data applications on population, identification and electronic authentication to serve national digital transformation in the period 2022-2025, with a vision to 2030” (Project 06/CP), the Provincial Police Department has directed police units and localities to effectively carry out the process of receiving and resolving administrative procedures in areas such as: administrative management; fire prevention, firefighting and rescue; traffic; immigration management… ensuring the correct procedures, saving time and creating the most favorable conditions for the people.
Lieutenant Colonel Tran Minh Tri, Head of Gia Rai Ward Police, said: “With the motto 'Work until the job is done, regardless of the time,' the officers and soldiers of Gia Rai Ward Police always uphold a high sense of responsibility and dedication to their work in order to best serve the needs of the people. In particular, the ward police also arrange working teams to work in the evenings and on weekends and holidays to receive applications for identity cards and electronic identification accounts; and guide people in installing and using the VNeID application to handle administrative procedures. This contributes to serving the digital transformation in the province, helping people and businesses access social amenities more conveniently, quickly, and effectively.”
The provincial police force receives and processes administrative procedures in a way that is quick and convenient for the people.
The provincial police also established volunteer teams , primarily composed of youth union members, to assist at provincial and commune-level public administrative service centers. These volunteer teams have assisted over 30,000 people in resolving administrative procedures such as: issuing identity cards, creating electronic identification accounts; registering vehicles, issuing criminal record certificates; guiding people in installing and using the VNeID application; etc. This has contributed to reducing the workload for officials and civil servants, supporting the efficient operation of local governments at both levels, and better serving the needs of the people.
A team of young volunteers is assisting people in installing and using the features of the VNeID application.
In addition, the Provincial Police also assigned forces to support the collection of information, the renewal of Party membership cards on the National Population Database platform, and the electronic identification and authentication of Party members in the area; and to assist citizens in integrating electronic health records into the VNeID application. The implementation of integrating citizen information into the National Population Database contributes to effectively serving administrative reform and digital transformation in the province, and has been well received, supported, and highly appreciated by the people.
Mr. Nguyen Van Dung (Hamlet 9, Phong Thanh Commune) shared: “When going for medical examination and treatment, I only need to present my personal information on the VNeID application because it integrates health insurance and electronic health records. The process and procedures for medical examination and treatment are faster and more convenient than before, so I feel very satisfied.”
The provincial police force assisted in gathering information and replacing party membership cards.
Alongside the application of digital technology in resolving administrative procedures, the Party Committee and leaders of the Provincial Police also pay attention to training, fostering, and improving digital knowledge and skills , implementing the "Digital Literacy Movement" for the team of officers and soldiers of the Provincial Police; and providing training on digital transformation knowledge in the People's Police on the MobileEdu online learning platform at police units and localities.
With the motto "Putting people and businesses at the center, as the subjects, goals, and driving force of digital transformation," in the coming time, the police force throughout the province will continue to apply digital platforms and advanced scientific and technological achievements, developing information technology infrastructure to effectively serve all aspects of work, especially in the implementation of Project 06/CP to better serve the people and businesses; along with improving the quality and efficiency of state management, serving the economic and social development of the locality.
