Ho Chi Minh City Police have received a petition from the Office of the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency, related to the petition accusing Mr. Huynh Uy Dung of "Abusing democratic freedoms to infringe upon the interests of the State, the rights and legitimate interests of organizations and individuals".
On May 30, the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department received a complaint from Mr. Nguyen Quang Tuan (son of Ms. Nguyen Phuong Hang) accusing Mr. Huynh Uy Dung (Dung "lime kiln", Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dai Nam Joint Stock Company, Ms. Nguyen Phuong Hang's husband) of "Abusing democratic freedoms to infringe upon the interests of the State, the rights and legitimate interests of organizations and individuals".
Previously, the Office of the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency received a petition from Mr. Nguyen Quang Tuan.

Pursuant to the provisions of the 2015 Criminal Procedure Code, Joint Circular No. 01/2017/TTLT-BCA-BQP-BTC-BNN&PTNT-VKSNDTC dated December 29, 2017 regulating the coordination between competent agencies in implementing a number of provisions of the 2015 Criminal Procedure Code on receiving and handling denunciations, reports of crimes, recommendations for prosecution and Circular No. 28/2020/TT-BCA dated March 26, 2020 of the Ministry of Public Security regulating the order and procedures for receiving, classifying, handling and handling denunciations, reports of crimes, and recommendations for prosecution of the People's Public Security force.
The Office of the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency forwarded Mr. Nguyen Quang Tuan's petition to the Deputy Director, Head of the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department's Investigation Police Agency for direction to resolve the matter according to authority and notify the results to the Office of the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency and the petitioner.
In recent months, Mr. Tuan has submitted a petition to the authorities requesting prosecution of Mr. Dung, who is an accomplice of Ms. Hang.
Mr. Tuan said that Mr. Dung was the leader, organizer and co-complicitor of the act, showing signs of being an accomplice in helping Ms. Hang materially and spiritually to insult the honor and dignity of others. Mr. Tuan also said that the three assistants who supported and helped Ms. Hang have been prosecuted and Mr. Dung showed signs of being an accomplice.
On May 18, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Court announced the trial schedule for defendants Nguyen Phuong Hang, Nguyen Thi Mai Nhi (assistant to defendant Hang), Le Thi Thu Ha (employee of Dai Nam Joint Stock Company), Huynh Cong Tan (Head of Communications Department of Dai Nam Joint Stock Company), Dang Anh Quan (PhD of Law, lecturer at Ho Chi Minh City University of Law) for the crime of "Abusing democratic freedoms to infringe upon the interests of the State, the rights and legitimate interests of organizations and individuals".

The Ho Chi Minh City People's Court said that information about the trial schedule of defendant Nguyen Phuong Hang and 4 accomplices on June 1, 2023 has appeared on social media and in newspapers. The above information is only a forecast. The Ho Chi Minh City People's Court plans to hold the trial from June 1 to June 5, and the trial decision has not yet been served on the defendant and the participants in the proceedings.

Because the scheduled trial time coincides with the trial plan of many cases that were previously scheduled for trial; in addition, many lawyers involved in the case have not yet had access to the case files, the scheduled trial plan has changed. The Ho Chi Minh City People's Court will have an official trial plan and serve the trial decision in accordance with the provisions of the Criminal Procedure Code.
