Delegates announced the "Vietnam AI Academy" program.

The program is the result of a collaboration between the National Innovation Center, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, and NVIDIA Corporation - the world's most valuable chip manufacturer (USA).

Speaking at the announcement ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung said that this event is of special significance as it commemorates the 30th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the United States and marks the third year since the two countries established a comprehensive strategic partnership.

This event marks a major step forward in realizing important agreements such as the high-level agreement between the Governments of Vietnam and the United States on cooperation in science, technology and semiconductors (September 2023); and the agreement between the Government of Vietnam and NVIDIA Corporation (December 2024).

"Vietnam AI Academy" is a prime example of a tripartite collaboration ( government , schools, and businesses), demonstrating a multi-faceted approach to developing high-tech human resources.

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung requested NVIDIA to continue implementing activities to train high-quality human resources, conduct research, transfer knowledge, and develop a team of Vietnamese AI experts that meet international standards; and to quickly expand the "Vietnam AI Academy" model nationwide…

Regarding Hanoi University of Science and Technology, the Deputy Prime Minister requested that the process of training and certifying lecturers according to standards be accelerated to maximize the potential of the "Vietnam AI Academy" program; research the integration of AI training content into the main curriculum and applied research activities; and strengthen cooperation with technology companies in training to enhance digital capabilities for businesses.

According to Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Phong Dien, Vice Director of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Hanoi University of Science and Technology is the pioneering and only institution in Vietnam selected by NVIDIA Corporation to become an official certification training partner (DLI-EP) in the field of AI. The goal is to develop AI human resources that meet international standards, addressing the urgent needs of digital transformation, the digital economy, and the application of AI in key national sectors.

To ensure quality and meet the needs of training courses according to NVIDIA's global standards, Hanoi University of Science and Technology has planned to train a team of experts and lecturers in both short-term and long-term courses. Students will have the opportunity to acquire knowledge in the field of AI and its applications, and access NVIDIA's advanced technologies.

In addition, this program also focuses on expanding its reach to officials and experts from businesses and government agencies, aiming to equip them with the necessary knowledge and skills to apply AI on NVIDIA's platform.

The program's training process will help form a network of experts in the field of AI, ready to support businesses, organizations, and localities in accessing and applying AI, thereby promoting the dissemination of AI training models to the community nationwide…
