On the afternoon of July 15, the People's Committee of Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat and the People's Committee of Cam Ly Ward - Da Lat organized the announcement of the Da Lat Central Zoning Plan, scale 1/2000, opening a new chapter for sustainable urban development, in harmony between preserving identity and creating the future of the central area of Lam Dong province.
Specifically, the Da Lat Central Zoning Plan has a total area of 765 hectares, with a population of about 230,000 people. The plan divides the central area into main functional zones, each with a separate role.
The landscape architecture of the central area includes: high floors, setbacks of main roads according to natural terrain, complying with Decision No. 2221/QD-UBND dated October 23, 2014 on management regulations according to the adjusted master plan of Da Lat and surrounding areas to 2030, vision to 2050.
Tangible and intangible elements are preserved and promoted in the form of urban amenities and protect the identity of each area: residential area, culinary area, refreshment area, coffee shop, walking area...
Preservation of landscape architecture: Determine the conservation boundary within the East-West heritage axis on Tran Hung Dao and Hung Vuong streets. Preserve, selectively develop, restore and protect old values, restore buildings to ensure they do not affect the surrounding landscape, safety and support. Add decorative trees and amenities such as: seats and lighting.
Based on the zoning plan of the central area of Da Lat, scale 1/2000, the People's Committees of the wards: Xuan Huong-Da Lat, Lam Vien-Da Lat, Cam Ly-Da Lat, Lang Biang-Da Lat organize the implementation.
The zoning plan for the central area of Da Lat is important for Da Lat to develop in a green and sustainable direction, maintain its own identity and become a livable city. This plan will create a new look for Da Lat, worthy of being a leading tourist and cultural center of the country.
