Also attending the conference to announce the decision were leaders of the agencies of the 16th Army Corps; representatives of the local Party committee and government; and officers, employees, and workers of the unit.

Accordingly, the conference announced the decision to establish the 726th Economic-Defense Brigade and the decision regarding the personnel of the 726th Economic-Defense Brigade.

The 726th Economic-Defense Brigade was established according to Decision No. 2458 dated May 15, 2026, of the Ministry of National Defense, with an organizational scale equivalent to a Brigade, based on the personnel of Branch 726, Company 16.

Speaking at the assignment ceremony, Colonel Trinh Pham Hoa, Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Commander of the 16th Army Corps, emphasized that the establishment of the 726th Economic-Defense Brigade is of great significance, an objective necessity, consistent with reality, reflecting new thinking and vision regarding the adjustment of the Army's organizational structure, meeting the requirements of consolidating national defense, building and protecting the Fatherland in the new era. This reflects the attention of the Party, the State, the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, and the agreement and support of the Party committees and governments of the localities.

Colonel Trinh Pham Hoa presented the personnel decisions for the 726th Economic-Defense Brigade.

Colonel Trinh Pham Hoa requested the Party Committee and the Command Board of the 726th Economic-Defense Brigade to strengthen political and ideological education, ensuring that all officers, employees, and workers deeply understand the position, function, and tasks of the economic-defense brigade, and clearly see their honor, pride, and responsibility in building the unit.

The Party Committee and Command of the 726th Economic-Defense Brigade presented gifts to the performing arts team at the conference.

The unit continues to uphold the glorious traditions of the Army, of the 16th Corps, and of the unit itself, closely coordinating with local Party committees, authorities, and forces in the area to effectively carry out the task of consolidating and strengthening national defense and security in conjunction with socio-economic development; caring for and improving the material and spiritual lives of workers and people in the area; and building potential and a solid defense posture in the border region. Along with that, it does a good job of mass mobilization, contributing to maintaining political stability and social order in the border area.
