Attending the premiere were representatives from the Japanese Consulate General in Da Nang , as well as various Japanese organizations and localities that cooperate with Hoi An City, along with numerous local delegates and students from Hoi An City.
During its approximately two-hour performance, the opera captivated the audience with its portrayal of the true love story between Princess Ngoc Hoa (Princess Anio) of Hoi An, Vietnam, and Araki Sotaro, a merchant from Nagasaki, Japan, during the Shuinsen (Red Seal) trade period in early 17th century.

The opera project "Princess Anio," celebrating the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan (1973-2023), was jointly produced by the Vietnam Symphony Orchestra and the "Princess Anio" organizing committee.

Bringing together a production team and a cast of outstanding opera artists from both countries, the opera "Princess Anio," with its meaningful messages, not only contributes to the development of music in both nations, but also connects historical, cultural, and artistic values from the past to the present and towards the future of Vietnam-Japan relations. It becomes a "messenger" that brings the people of the two countries closer together, contributing to the promotion of bilateral relations.
