
Attending the premiere were representatives of the Consulate General of Japan in Da Nang and Japanese units, organizations and localities cooperating with Hoi An City, along with many local delegates and students of Hoi An City.
During the 2-hour screening, the opera captivated the audience based on the true love story between Princess Ngoc Hoa (Princess Anio) of Hoi An - Vietnam and Araki Sotaro, a merchant from Nagasaki - Japan during the Shuinsen Trade period of Japan in the early 17th century.

The opera project "Princess Anio" celebrates the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan (1973 - 2023) and is jointly produced by the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra and the Executive Board of "Princess Anio".

Bringing together the production team and outstanding opera artists of the two countries, the opera "Princess Anio" with meaningful messages, not only contributes to the development of the music of the two countries, but the work also connects historical - cultural - artistic values from the past to the present and looks towards the future of Vietnam - Japan relations, becoming an "ambassador" to bring the people of the two countries closer together, contributing to promoting the development of bilateral relations between the two countries.
