In recent days, the northern mountainous region has experienced heavy to very heavy rain (commonly from 150-250mm, some places over 250mm), causing landslides, flash floods, inundation and damage to people, infrastructure, housing and production.

According to the bulletin from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, from June 25 to 27, the northern mountainous region will continue to have heavy rain, some places will have very heavy rain, with the risk of flash floods and landslides in mountainous areas and flooding in low-lying areas.

To proactively respond and minimize damage caused by heavy rains and the risk of flash floods and landslides, the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of the Northern mountainous provinces is requested to urgently monitor closely forecasts and warnings, and promptly inform authorities and people at all levels to proactively prevent and respond. Mobilize forces to support people to overcome consequences and stabilize their lives.

Deploy shock forces to inspect and review residential areas along rivers, streams, low-lying areas, and areas at high risk of flooding, flash floods, and landslides to proactively organize the relocation and evacuation of people to safe places.

Ready forces and means for rescue when required.
