The international community has supported Vietnam with nearly 16 million USD to overcome the consequences of storms and floods.

(Chinhphu.vn) – Vietnam has received nearly 16 million USD in disaster relief assistance from the international community. The Vietnamese Government and people always appreciate and are grateful for this timely, practical and valuable support and assistance.

The flood situation in the Central region remains complicated.

Recently, many localities in Vietnam have suffered historic floods and consecutive natural disasters causing serious damage to people and property. At the regular press conference of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the afternoon of November 27, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Pham Thu Hang said: In the face of these extremely heavy losses, up to now, Vietnam has received sharing, encouragement and financial support along with necessities and equipment from the international community, countries and international organizations, estimated to be nearly 16 million USD up to this point.

These resources will be distributed directly by Vietnamese authorities to affected areas and directly to affected people.

In recent days, we have witnessed many touching stories: International friends and foreign tourists, together with people and authorities in many provinces and cities in Vietnam, have joined hands to support people in difficulty in many different ways, Ms. Pham Thu Hang said.

This is a great encouragement, demonstrating the spirit of international mutual assistance and international solidarity, to help people in damaged localities of Vietnam to soon overcome difficulties.

The Government and people of Vietnam always appreciate and are grateful for this timely, practical and valuable support and assistance.
