CVC Company: Journey to affirm product quality

Having experienced many business fields, Mr. Tram Van Hue, Director of CVC Trading - Service - Production Company Limited (abbreviated as CVC Company), Tan Dinh Ward, Ben Cat City, has decided to stick with herbs. With his constant efforts, Mr. Hue has launched products such as Artichoke+ tea, Artichoke+ herbal tea bags, Ganoderma tea, bitter melon herbal tea bags, chrysanthemum tea bags, and Artichoke tea bags. The company's Artichoke+ tea, Artichoke+ herbal tea bags, and Ganoderma tea products have achieved 3-star OCOP certification in Binh Duong province, and are typical rural industrial products at the regional and provincial levels of Binh Duong .

Preserving traditional crafts

Talking to reporters about the reason for deciding to start a business with Artichoke+ tea, Mr. Tram Van Hue shared that he was born and raised in a family with a tradition of producing Artichoke tea, and from a young age he was introduced to and learned about the wonderful uses of Vietnamese herbs. When he grew up and went through many jobs, in 2020 he decided to return to his family's traditional Artichoke tea production profession.

Mr. Hue said that not only contributing to the preservation and development of Vietnam's precious herbal resources, since the 1980s, the Ba Bay Atiso Thanh Phat brand has used herbal ingredients from nature to produce Atiso+ tea, a type of herbal tea with the main ingredient being pure Artichoke flowers combined with 9 other herbs. This is a delicate combination of precious herbs that are being grown and developed by many farmers such as Artichoke flowers, Ganoderma lucidum, licorice, chrysanthemum, Chinese clematis, Polyscias fruticosa, bitter melon, sweet grass, cat's claw, and Cassia seed. Each herb has its own medicinal properties and the delicate and harmonious combination according to the family's traditional medicine has created the Atiso+ tea product line with a delicious natural flavor.

In the process of producing tea, Mr. Hue always focuses on product quality, putting the health of consumers first. Accordingly, the herbs he purchases have clear origins, clean green growing areas, and processing and packaging processes that ensure food hygiene and safety. Tea products are produced by CVC Company with modern technology from preliminary processing - cutting, grinding, drying, fermentation - roasting - mixing herbs - packaging - preservation according to a closed process, retaining 100% of the nutritional ingredients as well as the characteristics of the herbs.

In particular, to affirm the quality of the product, Mr. Hue has brought the product to participate in the OCOP product evaluation and classification program. Accordingly, the company's Artichoke+ tea products, Artichoke+ herbal tea bags, and Ganoderma tea have achieved 3-star OCOP certification in Binh Duong province. Through the evaluation and classification of products, CVC's Artichoke herbal tea products have affirmed their quality and created trust with domestic and foreign consumers. Artichoke+ tea products, Artichoke+ herbal tea bags, and Ganoderma tea have also achieved certification as typical rural industrial products at the regional and provincial levels of Binh Duong.

Sharing the reason for "starring" the Atiso+ herbal tea product, Mr. Hue said: "The reason I decided to participate in evaluating and classifying OCOP products is because there are many Atiso tea products on the market with different brands and qualities, even low-quality floating products that make customers lose confidence. Therefore, to protect businesses and consumers from the above situation, participating in the program is very necessary. In addition to the quality certificates guaranteed according to regulations, our products are also assessed by provincial departments and branches, thereby creating more trust with customers, helping customers trust and feel more secure in buying our products."

Mr. Hue added that currently, Artichoke+ tea, Ganoderma tea, Artichoke+ herbal tea bags... are all produced on a closed technological line, ensuring food safety and hygiene and have their own unique and beautiful packaging, but still retain the rustic look of nature. Artichoke+ herbal tea bags have been consumed throughout the country through the consumption system of Saigon Co.op supermarket and direct agents of CVC Company in provinces and cities nationwide.

Like many businesses in Binh Duong province, under the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic, the number of products sold on the market has decreased sharply. In that context, in addition to the traditional retail market, Mr. Hue has developed an online business channel through e-commerce platforms, social networks such as Facebook, Zalo, Shopee, Lazada, Tiki, TikTokshop... to promote products, reaching more domestic and international consumers. On average, each month, the Atiso+ herbal tea product brings in a profit of 50 million VND for CVC Company from sales through these platforms.

In the near future, CVC Company plans to develop more products from natural herbs, because in Vietnam there are many precious herbs that are good for human health. Therefore, in order to not lose the quintessence of the nation, and at the same time respond to the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese products", Mr. Hue will continue to research and launch health care product lines that bring real value to customers, thereby affirming the quality of Vietnamese-branded medicinal herbs on the market.
