EVN Hanoi's business results after half a year
Hanoi Electricity Corporation (EVN Hanoi) has just announced its consolidated financial report for the second quarter. In the past quarter, the company recorded net revenue of more than VND 17,349 billion, an increase of more than 7% over the same period last year. Gross profit reached more than VND 1,014 billion, an increase of more than 22% over the second quarter of 2024.
In the first 6 months of the year, EVN Hanoi still reported a loss of more than 264 billion VND, while in the same period last year, the company recorded a profit after tax of more than 860 billion VND.
EVN Group unexpectedly reports profit of over 8,200 billion VND
Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) announced its audited consolidated financial statements for 2024. Specifically, the report recorded the group's consolidated revenue last year reaching VND 580,537 billion, an increase of nearly 16% compared to 2023. Of which, revenue from electricity sales last year reached more than VND 572,936 billion, accounting for more than 98%.
After deducting expenses, EVN recorded a profit after tax of more than VND 8,237 billion, while in 2023 it lost VND 26,772 billion. Of which, the profit after tax of the parent company's shareholders was more than VND 7,222 billion. However, by the end of 2024, this "giant" had accumulated a loss of more than VND 38,688 billion.

Masan Group Corporation (stock code: MSN) has just announced its unaudited financial statements for the second quarter of 2025 and the first 6 months of this year.
In the second quarter, the company's net revenue reached VND18,315 billion. The corresponding after-tax profit was VND1,619 billion. According to Masan, the growth mainly came from the effective operation of the retail chains WinCommerce (WCM) and Masan MEATLife (MML). During the period, the group also recorded profits from the divestment of HC Starck (HCS).
Accumulated profit after tax in the first 6 months of the year reached 2,602 billion VND, nearly double compared to the same period.

Mr. Hoang Nam Tien passed away
FPT Corporation said that Mr. Hoang Nam Tien, Vice Chairman of the Board of FPT University, suddenly passed away at 4:10 p.m. on July 31 due to a stroke.
Mr. Hoang Nam Tien was born in 1969. Mr. Tien joined FPT right after graduating from the IT major at the University of Technology in 1993.
Mr. Hoang Nam Tien was elected Chairman of FPT Telecom from March 3, 2020. From April 2023 to present, he has been appointed Vice Chairman of the Board of FPT University (FPT Education).

Vingroup profits 25 billion VND per day in the first half of the year
Vingroup Corporation (stock code: VIC) has just announced its consolidated financial report for the second quarter of 2025 with net revenue reaching VND 46,312 billion, up 9.4% over the same period. Profit after tax reached VND 2,265 billion, 3.1 times higher than the second quarter of 2024.

After deducting expenses, Vingroup's consolidated profit after tax in the first half of this year reached VND 4,509 billion, 2.2 times higher than the same period last year.
Thus, this group recorded an average daily net revenue of VND720.2 billion and an average after-tax profit of nearly VND25 billion.
Quoc Cuong Gia Lai begins paying debt of 2,882 billion VND to Truong My Lan
Quoc Cuong Gia Lai Joint Stock Company (stock code: QCG) has just announced its financial report for the second quarter of 2025, recording net revenue of VND 131 billion, a sharp increase of nearly 395% over the same period last year. The main contributor to Quoc Cuong Gia Lai is real estate revenue, growing 47 times from over VND 2 billion in the second quarter of 2024 to VND 97 billion in the second quarter of 2025.
According to the financial report, Quoc Cuong Gia Lai spent more than 100 billion VND to pay off the debt of 2,882 billion VND related to Van Thinh Phat Group and Ms. Truong My Lan.
