Appearing at the event, the Vietnamese representative chose a tight-fitting strapless dress, highlighting her well-proportioned figure. Huong Giang revealed that she shared a room with a contestant from the host country Thailand - one of the faces highly appreciated by beauty sites this season.
The Vietnamese beauty confidently posed in front of the camera and interacted with international media. Maintaining her beautiful and neat appearance, Huong Giang received many compliments from both Vietnamese and international audiences.

At 34, Huong Giang is among the oldest contestants in the history of the Miss Universe pageant. She is also the first transgender contestant from Vietnam and Asia to participate in the beauty pageant considered the most fierce on the planet.
While most of her opponents are in the 20-26 age group and possess youthfulness and stamina, Huong Giang must prove that she is not inferior in terms of physical strength or stage presence.
After only a few days of entering the competition, the Vietnamese representative has shown stable performance, knows how to attract the media and receives favor from the host country.
In the “Special Dinner and Chat” poll launched by MUT, Huong Giang was in the leading group. However, the Miss Universe Organization affirmed that this was an “illegal, unlicensed and uncontested activity” and therefore canceled the poll results.

Huong Giang also showed her courage and experience in dealing with media crises. The Miss Universe 2025 pageant has only been taking place for 3 days but has already been mired in many controversies.
On the afternoon of November 4, the sash presentation ceremony was interrupted by an argument between Mr. Nawat - representative of the Miss Universe Thailand Organization (MUT) - and some contestants. The incident caused some contestants and the reigning Miss Universe Victoria Theilvig to leave the event midway.
After the exchange, the sash presentation ceremony continued. Immediately after, the Miss Universe Organization (MUO) also issued a statement affirming: “The Miss Universe Organization reaffirms its commitment to work closely with the host country, Miss Grand International (MGI) and local partners to ensure the success of the 74th Miss Universe pageant.”

According to the announcement, a high-level delegation led by CEO of the Miss Universe Organization Mario Búcaro is traveling to Thailand to strengthen cooperation with the host country and relevant authorities, ensuring a safe, professional and transparent environment for all contestants.
MUO also affirmed that the events will continue to take place as usual, in close coordination with the host country and MGI, towards a global festival that celebrates the values of diversity, empowerment and inclusion.
This announcement reassures the audience that the Miss Universe 2025 pageant will not be interrupted after the noise about the organization. According to the plan, the final night will take place on November 21 in Thailand.

The Miss Universe 2025 pageant will take place over 20 days, gathering more than 100 contestants from around the world. This year’s edition has many innovations, accepting transgender contestants, married contestants, and those with children, with no age limit.
Before the contest, the Missosology website predicted that Vietnam's representative - Huong Giang - would likely make it into the top 20, alongside prominent representatives from Thailand, the Philippines, Venezuela, Colombia, Peru, Mexico, Australia and Ivory Coast.
Before the Miss Universe 2025 pageant officially took place, MUO announced the appointment of Mr. Mario Búcaro (Guatemala) as CEO to replace Ms. Anne Jakrajutatip (Thailand) when she resigned on May 20.
Upon her resignation, Ms. Anne Jakkaphong Jakrajutatip joined hands with Mr. Nawat, appointing him as the competition's executive director.
Accordingly, Mr. Nawat and the Miss Grand International team are responsible for organizing Miss Universe 2025, directly taking on all production and marketing for the contest.
