Recently, the "fight" between the Miss Universe Organizing Committee (MUO) and the host organization Miss Universe Thailand (MUT) - headed by Mr. Nawat - has caused a stir in the international beauty industry.
The reason comes from MUO's announcement to cancel the "Special Dinner and Chat" voting results launched by MUT.
After 20 hours of voting, Huong Giang - Vietnam's representative - entered the leading group, but MUO affirmed that this was an "illegal activity, not licensed and not within the framework of the contest".

MUO also called on the media and fans to only follow information through official channels.
Mr. Nawat's side immediately responded, accusing one of MUO's sponsors of being involved in online gambling activities and expressing disappointment with the organization's communication work.
On November 4, MUO representatives continued to issue a second announcement and affirmed that the results of the Miss Universe 2025 contest only depend on the contestants' performances in the competitions such as: Closed Interview, National Costume Performance, Evening Gown Performance and Swimsuit Performance.

Despite the noise, the activities within the framework of the competition on November 3rd still took place as usual. In the midst of the storm of scandal, the representative of Vietnam - Huong Giang - still maintained positive energy and continuously scored points with the Thai media.
Arriving in Thailand on October 31, Huong Giang's first action was to pay her respects to Queen Mother Sirikit, demonstrating her sophistication and understanding of the host country's culture. Her choice of clothing and accessories - especially the detail of wearing an earring on one side - was praised by the Thai online community as meaningful and polite.

During the first 3 days of the contest, Vietnamese beauties continuously attracted attention with elegant, sexy outfits and confident demeanor.
Huong Giang shared that she was full of energy when receiving enthusiastic cheers from Vietnamese and Thai fans, and affirmed that the most important goal is to "show elegance naturally".
Despite noticing that the images of Asian contestants appear less on the official channel of the contest, Huong Giang still maintains a positive attitude and focuses on her tasks.

The Vietnamese representative also received attention from MUT - the host organization - with many separate posts on the official website. At press events, Huong Giang actively interacted, took photos with international reporters and demonstrated her ability to communicate fluently in English.
Currently, Huong Giang is one of the contestants with the largest number of followers on Instagram, helping her image spread widely on social networking platforms.
With careful preparation and a spirit of readiness to conquer, Huong Giang is making positive progress in this year’s beauty pageant. She is also the first transgender contestant from Vietnam and Asia to participate in Miss Universe.

The Miss Universe 2025 pageant takes place from November 2 to November 21, gathering more than 100 contestants from around the world . This year's competition has many innovations when accepting transgender contestants, married or having children and has no age limit.
Before the contest, the Missosology website predicted that Huong Giang would likely make it into the top 20, alongside prominent representatives from Thailand, the Philippines, Venezuela, Colombia, Peru, Australia and Ivory Coast.
