International flight network breakthrough, Vietnam Airlines achieves impressive profit after 9 months
Although exchange rate fluctuations caused Vietnam Airlines' costs in the third quarter to increase by nearly VND700 billion, thanks to positive output growth, the airline's financial results for the quarter and the first nine months of 2025 still met and exceeded the plan.
Total consolidated revenue in the third quarter reached VND 30,782 billion, equal to 112.3% compared to the same period in 2024; consolidated profit after tax reached VND 732 billion. Total consolidated revenue in the first 9 months of the year reached VND 90,177 billion, equal to 104.58% compared to the same period in 2024. Consolidated profit after tax reached more than VND 7,174 billion, equal to 114.5% compared to the same period in 2024.
In the first 9 months of 2025, Vietnam Airlines has proactively opened many new international routes to meet the increasing travel demand of international passengers to Vietnam and Vietnamese tourists going abroad. These routes target potential markets with long-term growth prospects, thereby creating important momentum for positive business results.
In the third quarter, Vietnam Airlines issued more than 897 million shares, increasing its capital to VND8,971 billion. The equity of the parent company and consolidated as of September 30 both increased and were no longer negative.
The capital increase and positive business results help Vietnam Airlines strengthen its financial capacity, expand investment in its fleet, infrastructure and digital transformation, meeting development requirements in the 2026-2030 period. Vietnam Airlines also launched a large-scale fleet modernization and development program, marking a strong step forward in the journey to improve operational capacity and expand its international flight network.
Breakthrough with a series of new marks
In addition to business results, the third quarter was a bustling period for Vietnam Airlines with many outstanding activities. At the National Achievement Exhibition “80 Years of Independence - Freedom - Happiness Journey”, Vietnam Airlines' “Aspiration for the Sky” exhibition attracted nearly 1 million visitors and was voted by the organizers as a typical exhibition space.
The image of Vietnam Airlines at this event not only honors the country's 80-year journey but also clearly depicts the spirit of innovation, integration and dedication of the pioneering enterprise in the Vietnamese aviation industry.
Another important milestone is that Vietnam Airlines officially put into operation the Check-in Lounge at Tan Son Nhat Terminal T3, a luxurious check-in space imbued with a pioneering spirit.
This new product not only brings a different, classy experience to passengers, but also redefines aviation service standards in Vietnam, affirming Vietnam Airlines' leading position in the field of service and customer experience.
