According to CNN, in the context of the worsening global energy crisis, wind power is a potential solution to overcome this situation. Large wind turbines often produce more energy than standard sized turbines, but the parts of these turbines are too large and cannot be transported by road.
Therefore, the energy startup Radia, based in the state of Colorado, USA, came up with the idea of developing the largest aircraft in aviation history to transport the turbine blades up to 90m long to wind farms.

According to Radia, the WindRunner aircraft researched and developed by the company will have a cargo hold volume of up to 7,700m3, equivalent to the volume of three Olympic-sized swimming pools, 12 times the cargo hold volume of a Boeing 747-400.
In addition, the WindRunner aircraft also has a wingspan of up to nearly 80m, equivalent to the total length of four bowling lanes.
The size of the WindRunner aircraft will also far exceed the Antonov An-225 - the heaviest aircraft ever built in the world and which was destroyed at the beginning of Russia's military campaign in Ukraine.
Despite its large size, according to Radia, the WindRunner aircraft will be designed to be able to land on runways as short as 1,800m - something no other large commercial aircraft can do.
Additionally, in an effort to be environmentally friendly, the aircraft will operate on sustainable aviation fuel.
The aircraft’s construction process will be based on existing and proven safety technologies. Accordingly, Radia will use aviation materials, components, and manufacturing technologies that have been certified by the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), have been mass-produced, and have the lowest risk index to build a giant aircraft that meets the standards of the aerospace industry.
According to some information posted on the Internet, the WindRunner aircraft will enter commercial operation as early as 2027. However, Radia's website has not posted a timeline for when the company's product will officially go into operation.
