Awarding 25 scholarships to children of environmental sanitation workers

On the morning of August 19, the Hanoi City Labor Federation coordinated with the Golden Heart Fund of Labor Newspaper to award 25 scholarships to children of workers in difficult circumstances at the Hanoi Urban Environment Company Limited.

This is a practical activity to encourage and motivate students to excel in their studies, and at the same time, demonstrate the accompanying role of the Trade Union organization with union members and workers' families.

At the program, comrade Nguyen Huy Khanh, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi City Labor Federation and representatives of the Golden Heart Fund directly awarded 25 scholarships, each worth 1 million VND in cash and a gift worth 300,000 VND, to students who are children of workers and laborers in difficult circumstances of the company.

Speaking at the program, comrade Nguyen Huy Khanh affirmed that the scholarship program demonstrates the sharing and care of the Trade Union organization towards workers, creating more motivation for workers' children to continue to strive to excel in their studies, building a brighter future.

Also at the program, Hanoi Urban Environment Company Limited said that the unit has nearly 4,900 officers and employees working in 19 member units, directly undertaking the collection, transportation, treatment of waste and maintaining environmental sanitation in 16/30 old districts of the city. With the nature of heavy work, the company's workers always strive to complete their tasks, especially during holidays, Tet and important political events of the capital.

In particular, in preparation for the event celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, the company mobilized 100% of vehicles and human resources and completed the installation of 612 mobile toilets, maintaining environmental sanitation on main streets, silently contributing to the green - clean - beautiful appearance of the Capital.
