Making Vietnam Sports Hospital a place where science, modern sports medicine and profound humanitarian spirit converge

On the morning of August 19, in Hanoi, Vietnam Sports Hospital held the inauguration ceremony of projects and works to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025). Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Dao Cuong attended and delivered a speech.

The project to renovate and upgrade the Vietnam Sports Hospital is one of 250 typical works and projects that were started and inaugurated online and live simultaneously at 80 points across the country, a particularly important political event of the country, a brilliant milestone in the glorious history of building and defending the country of the nation.

The project is invested by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism with the aim that by 2025, Vietnam Sports Hospital will become a specialized hospital for the sports industry and meet the development needs of society with a scale of 235 beds; at the same time, it will be a place to implement technology programs on Sports Medicine, invest in developing specialized health care for athletes, coaches and people.

To date, the investor has completed 100% of the construction and installation work, 100% of the procurement and equipment work, and completed the final settlement and acceptance work, ready for use. The Sports Hospital has been designed and built with synchronous facilities and advanced equipment, meeting international sports medicine standards.

The hospital is expected to continue to be a specialized medical center in the fields of sports injuries, rehabilitation, nutrition, psychology and sports science research, not only contributing to improving the quality of athlete health care, but also promoting the development of high-performance sports, expanding sports medicine services to the community.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister Hoang Dao Cuong emphasized that the inauguration of the hospital today demonstrates the special attention of the Party, State and Government to the cause of physical education, sports and public health care. At the same time, this is also a testament to the effective coordination between the investor, contractors, local authorities and the project users throughout the project implementation process.

Appreciating and praising the effective and close coordination between units, Deputy Minister Hoang Dao Cuong requested the units to continue to effectively implement and complete assigned tasks on time, contributing to making Vietnam Sports Hospital truly a place where science, modern sports medicine and profound humanistic spirit converge.

In particular, the Investor is requested to quickly complete the remaining items, carefully review the technical system and equipment; develop a periodic operation and maintenance plan to keep the project in the best condition.

Propose that the Board of Directors of Vietnam Sports Hospital organize the reception of the project, develop a long-term development strategy and effectively use the project and equipment; Organize transparent management and operation; Continue to build a team of dedicated, professional, highly specialized, professional, and devoted staff, doctors, pharmacists, nurses, and employees; Build a hospital environment that is a cultural, humane, and ethical institution; Proactively cooperate domestically and internationally in hospital activities to bring Vietnam Sports Hospital to truly rise in the new era of the nation.

With the team of doctors and medical staff of the hospital, the Deputy Minister suggested promoting a sense of responsibility, constantly improving professional qualifications, applying new science and technology, and putting medical ethics and service quality first.

We propose that sports units, training centers, federations, and clubs strengthen coordination so that the hospital becomes a place for comprehensive health care for athletes, contributing to the implementation of the Politburo's Resolution on building Vietnamese people in the new era and reviving culture and sports.

Accepting the Deputy Minister's direction, Mr. Le Thanh Tung, Director of Vietnam Sports Hospital, pledged to effectively promote facilities and equipment, continuously improve the capacity of the hospital's staff, doctors and nurses, always uphold medical ethics, constantly improve professional skills, expand domestic and international cooperation, and gradually build the hospital into a leading sports medicine center in the region.
