On the evening of March 25th, Mr. Nguyen Quang Vinh, Acting Director of Dong Nai Hydropower Company, announced that at 6:19 PM that day, the company reached the milestone of 20 billion kWh of electricity generated and supplied to the national grid, making a significant contribution alongside EVNGENCO1 in providing electricity to serve the socio -economic development of the country.

The milestone of 20 billion kWh is a great source of pride, marking the culmination of the efforts, dedication, unity, hard work, creativity, and proactive overcoming of all difficulties by generations of staff and workers of Dong Nai Hydropower Company, and above all, the attention and support of local leaders, the electricity sector, and especially the close attention and guidance of the leaders of EVNGENCO1.
"This figure is even more significant and impressive considering that throughout this journey, the company has operated and produced in an absolutely safe manner, without any labor accidents or environmental incidents affecting people, equipment, or the surrounding community," emphasized the Acting Director of Dong Nai Hydropower Company.
Over the years, Dong Nai Hydropower Company has closely coordinated with the National Power System Dispatch Center (A0) to manage and operate the Dong Nai 3 and 4 hydropower plants safely and efficiently, exploiting and regulating the reservoir according to procedures, and promoting digital transformation.

Implementing comprehensive technical management measures, while effectively carrying out maintenance and repair plans for equipment and construction works, ensures the safety and reliability of generating units, equipment systems, and structures, contributing to the company's plan fulfillment.
With four generating units boasting a total installed capacity of 520 MW and the ability to operate flexibly, the plant not only supplies a large amount of electricity to the national grid but also plays a crucial role in regulating frequency and voltage to balance the power system, especially in the context of renewable energy sources accounting for a large proportion today.
Dong Nai Hydropower Company also plays an extremely important role in coordinating with hydropower reservoirs in the Dong Nai River basin to regulate reservoir levels, ensuring flood control during the rainy season and drought mitigation during the dry season for downstream areas.
Managing electricity production.
Alongside its mission of producing and selling electricity, Dong Nai Hydropower Company always pays attention to social welfare work in Lam Dong and Dak Nong provinces, not only spreading the flame of hope for life but also contributing profound humanitarian values to the community, affirming its status as a socially responsible enterprise.
Since putting its generating units into operation, Dong Nai Hydropower Company has contributed more than 3,400 billion VND to the state budget for socio-economic development.
Dong Nai Hydropower Company was established on February 14, 2011, with the main function and nhiệm vụ of managing and operating the Dong Nai 3 and 4 Hydropower Plants (total installed capacity of 520 MW). On January 1, 2013, the company was transferred to the direct control of Power Generation Corporation 1 (EVNGENCO1). The H1 unit of the Dong Nai 3 Hydropower Plant officially started generating electricity and connecting to the national grid on January 8, 2011, followed by the H2 unit of Dong Nai 3 (June 11, 2011), the H1 unit of Dong Nai 4 (March 28, 2012), and the H2 unit of Dong Nai 4 (June 24, 2012). |
