Da Nang Traffic Police on duty 100%, checking alcohol concentration throughout Tet and all night

On the afternoon of February 9, speaking with Thanh Nien, Colonel Phan Ngoc Truyen, Head of the Traffic Police Department of Da Nang City Police, said that, implementing the direction of the Ministry of Public Security and Da Nang City Police, 100% of the traffic police forces of units and localities are on duty, especially handling violations of alcohol concentration.

Leaders of the Ministry of Public Security as well as the Da Nang City Police have strongly directed the entire traffic police force to increase alcohol concentration checks in the area with the spirit of "throughout New Year's Eve, throughout Tet, without a day off".

Traffic police in Da Nang City handle traffic violations, especially alcohol concentration, with a spirit of working through Tet and all night.

From February 8, Da Nang City Police deployed a plan to strengthen traffic safety and order before, during and after the 2024 Lunar New Year.

Police units and localities continue to seriously, resolutely and synchronously implement measures to enhance traffic safety, especially handling violations of alcohol concentration with the spirit of "no forbidden zones, no exceptions".

The entire Traffic Police force of Da Nang City Police is on duty with 100% of its personnel, officers and soldiers are flexibly mobilized from less important positions and routes to key areas and regions.

Previously, the Traffic Police Department of the Ministry of Public Security arranged 6 working groups to directly direct and inspect the performance of duties of patrol teams, control and handle violations on National Highway 1.

The Traffic Police Department also directed that all detected violations will be strictly handled, especially violations of alcohol concentration during the 2024 Lunar New Year holiday.

Colonel Phan Ngoc Truyen added that during the Lunar New Year, the number of people consuming beer and alcohol increased sharply. The Traffic Police Department of Da Nang City Police recommends that people absolutely do not consume alcohol when participating in traffic, to avoid being severely punished or causing accidents for themselves and other road users, leaving serious consequences.

The Da Nang City Traffic Police Department also confirmed that the current information on social networks that the traffic police will not check and handle violations of alcohol concentration during the Lunar New Year is incorrect.
