On December 9th, a video circulated on social media showing a traffic police officer using a special motorcycle to transport a father carrying his young child who was having a seizure.
According to our investigation, at 4:20 PM on December 8th, Major Nguyen Minh Thai, an officer of the Cat Lai Traffic Police Team (Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Police Department), was on duty directing traffic at the intersection of Mai Chi Tho and Luong Dinh Cua streets, An Phu ward, Thu Duc City.
A man with a panicked expression, carrying a small child who was having a seizure, approached Major Thai, pleading for help in getting the child to the emergency room.
Major Nguyen Minh Thai immediately reported to his commander and used a special vehicle, with the siren blaring, to transport the father and son to Children's Hospital 2 for timely emergency treatment.
Reportedly, the father was on his way to Children's Hospital 2 with his approximately 7-month-old child, who had a fever, when the baby suddenly had a seizure. Due to the busy roads, the anxious father called the police for assistance.
