On the afternoon of December 5, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Duong Van An, Head of the National Assembly Delegation, together with Mr. Nguyen Huu Thong, Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation and Ms. Pham Thi Hong Yen - Standing Member of the National Assembly's Economic Committee, National Assembly Delegate of the province, continued to have a meeting with voters after the 6th Session of the 15th National Assembly in Phu Long town and Ham Thang commune, Ham Thuan Bac district.
After watching the clip with the results of the 6th Session of the 15th National Assembly and listening to Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Nguyen Huu Thong answer voters' recommendations at previous meetings, the majority of voters assessed that the activities of the National Assembly are increasingly more substantial, closer to voters and the people, thereby also creating favorable conditions for the people and voters to monitor the activities of the National Assembly. The opinions expressed are concise, succinct, of high quality, demonstrating the dedication, high sense of responsibility with in-depth and thorough research of the National Assembly Deputies.
Voters also highly appreciated the activities of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation. Provincial National Assembly Delegates have made in-depth comments and recommendations to the National Assembly and the Government . However, voters are still concerned about many issues related to people's lives, which have not been clarified by the authorities. These include the issue of people still lacking electricity for daily life and dragon fruit production despite having renewable energy; the functional zoning plan of Ham Thang commune has been continuously adjusted, but has not been implemented, affecting people's lives when they cannot build houses or do anything on the land; the polluted environment requires the installation of surveillance cameras, otherwise the urban beauty and community will be lost...
At the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary and Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Duong Van An acknowledged the voters' heartfelt opinions and mentioned practical issues related to daily life. At the same time, the Head of the National Assembly Delegation also clarified a number of issues that voters and departments, branches and localities proposed and explained...
Regarding renewable energy, our State's policy is to install rooftop solar power on agricultural farms. The farms produce and consume electricity themselves, and the surplus is sold to the electricity company to connect to the grid and sell to people and businesses. However, in reality, there are farms that have circumvented the law by not producing agriculture, but producing electricity for sale... In our province, there are many solar power projects that are being inspected and found to have some violations, some have not completed the procedures but have sold electricity. Among them, Vietnam Electricity Group did not buy because it was against the regulations.
Regarding the issue of functional zoning planning of Ham Thang commune and the expansion of Phan Thiet city, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Duong Van An shared the difficulties with the people, because if the planning is not implemented, it will greatly affect the lives of the people. Therefore, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee has concluded and directed the Provincial People's Committee to consider revoking outdated projects that have not been implemented for many years. Ham Thang is included in the Phan Thiet city expansion project, so there needs to be a roadmap for implementation. People who have not yet decided to reclaim land and want to build houses or do anything on the land should go to the competent authorities for guidance.
In addition, the Provincial Party Secretary agreed with voters on the installation of environmental protection cameras. "As the Provincial Party Secretary, I have repeatedly expressed my opinion on the need to strengthen environmental protection propaganda. Therefore, the Provincial Party Committee has agreed with the Provincial People's Committee to take the theme of 2023 as the year of urban beautification to preserve and protect the environmental landscape, striving to build Binh Thuan to always be green - clean - beautiful. The province has issued many regulations to punish those who pollute the environment, encouraging people to detect those who litter in the wrong place, can record clips, take photos and send them to relevant authorities for punishment", the Provincial Party Secretary suggested.
On this occasion, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation presented 20 gifts, each worth 1 million VND, to poor households and policy families of 2 communes and towns.
