Customs Department has new Deputy Director

(Chinhphu.vn)-On October 15, authorized by the Ministry of Finance, the Customs Department held a ceremony to announce the Decision on the transfer and appointment of personnel to the position of Deputy Director. Mr. Nguyen Van Tho - Director of the Customs Department chaired the ceremony.

At the ceremony, the representative of the Personnel Organization Board - Customs Department announced Decision No. 3466/QD-BTC dated October 13, 2025 of the Minister of Finance on the transfer and appointment of civil servants to leadership positions.

According to the Decision, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hung, Deputy Director of the Department of Tax, Fee and Charge Policy Management and Supervision (Ministry of Finance), was transferred and appointed to the position of Deputy Director of the Customs Department from October 15, 2025.

Authorized by the Minister of Finance, Director of the Customs Department Nguyen Van Tho presented the Decision, pinned the rank insignia and congratulated Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hung on his new assignment.

On behalf of the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of the Customs Department, Mr. Nguyen Van Tho congratulated the new Deputy Director Nguyen Thanh Hung, and expressed his belief that Mr. Hung, together with the collective leadership, civil servants and employees of the unit, will promote the tradition of solidarity and innovation, contributing to the strong development of the Customs sector.

Mr. Nguyen Van Tho said that Vietnam Customs must both facilitate trade and strengthen the fight against smuggling and trade fraud, contributing to improving national competitiveness. At the same time, the unit needs to focus on building solidarity, maintaining discipline, enhancing responsibility, preventing corruption and waste, and promoting modernization towards the model of digital Customs and smart Customs.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hung expressed his honor to be entrusted with the new task by the leaders of the Ministry of Finance and the Customs Department. He affirmed that he will strive to promote the tradition of the unit, be dedicated to his work, and work with the leadership, cadres, civil servants and employees to excellently complete the assigned tasks.
