Over the past time, the Mausoleum Management Board has performed well its advisory function to the Party, the State, the Prime Minister, the Central Military Commission, and the Ministry of National Defense on the task of long-term preservation and absolute safety protection of President Ho Chi Minh's body; welcoming, propagating, and serving thoughtfully and safely compatriots and international guests who come to visit President Ho Chi Minh and commemorate heroic martyrs; solemnly performing the daily flag-raising ceremony in front of the Mausoleum and providing military band service for State-level visits and visits to President Ho Chi Minh by heads of state.
The Management Board coordinates with relevant agencies and Hanoi city to implement measures to ensure hygiene, decorate flowers, ornamental plants, and set up propaganda billboards on the streets in the area on anniversaries, holidays, and Tet, contributing to maintaining the landscape and environment of the Mausoleum, Ba Dinh Square, and the Monument to Heroes and Martyrs to always be spacious, clean, and beautiful.
From August 15, 2023 to July 31, 2024, the Mausoleum Management Board welcomed nearly 2 million compatriots and international visitors to visit President Ho Chi Minh; welcomed nearly 14,000 visitors to the Monument to Heroes and Martyrs.
In the first 6 months of 2024, the Management Board also welcomed more than 1.6 million visitors to the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace; welcomed more than 430,000 visitors to the Ho Chi Minh Museum.
In particular, the Mausoleum Management Board has proactively developed a plan, prepared well in terms of human resources, materials, and plans; coordinated and implemented the periodic renovation of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum in 2024 to ensure absolute quality, safety, and on schedule.
Including completing the task of making medicine for President Ho Chi Minh's body according to the correct procedure and with absolute safety; conducting maintenance and repair of the technical equipment system and architecture of the Mausoleum.
After restoration, President Ho Chi Minh's body continues to be preserved in the best condition; the technical equipment system operates stably, accurately, reliably, ensuring the backup factor; the landscape and architecture of the Mausoleum and adjacent works are more spacious, clean and beautiful.
After inspecting the results of the periodic renovation of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum in 2024, working with the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Management Board, relevant ministries, branches and Hanoi city, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that beloved President Ho Chi Minh is a National Liberation Hero, a World Cultural Celebrity, a genius leader, a great teacher of the Vietnamese revolution, who spent his whole life serving the country and the people.
He represents the cultural quintessence of the Vietnamese people, the most beautiful values of the Vietnamese soul, personality, will, and mettle; is a shining example of revolutionary morality; is a beautiful image of the close relationship between the leader and the people, between our people and the peoples of the world.
To international friends, President Ho Chi Minh is an outstanding communist soldier, a comrade, a close friend, as Cuban President Fidel Castro once commented in 1969: “… His life is a shining example of the most noble and revolutionary qualities…”; or Russian President Putin wrote in 2013: “… Ho Chi Minh’s ideological and moral values are still the torch, the symbol of a future culture…”.
According to the Prime Minister, the Ba Dinh Historical - Cultural Relic Complex including the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the Ho Chi Minh Memorial Site at the Presidential Palace, the Ho Chi Minh Museum, the Ba Dinh Special Political Administrative Zone... has great significance and value, and is important to the country.
The long-term preservation and absolute safety protection of President Ho Chi Minh's body and the preservation, restoration, and promotion of the value of the relic complex are both a noble responsibility and an honor and pride, demonstrating the affection of our people for President Ho Chi Minh and the national historical tradition.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highly appreciated the Mausoleum Management Board and ministries, branches and Hanoi city in the work of preserving and protecting the body of President Ho Chi Minh in the long term; organizing the reception and attentive service for the large number of compatriots and international guests who came to visit Uncle Ho; receiving and attentively and solemnly serving delegations of heads of state and high-ranking leaders of countries who came to visit and commemorate President Ho Chi Minh and the heroic martyrs.
Actively and strictly implement the Prime Minister's conclusion on the development of the Ordinance on Management and Protection of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Relic Site and advise on the consolidation of the Steering Committee for Coordinating Activities of the Ba Dinh Historical - Cultural Relic Site Cluster.
On behalf of the Government, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh commended and highly appreciated the efforts, sense of responsibility and achievements of the collective of cadres, civil servants, public employees, soldiers and workers of the Mausoleum Management Board and agencies, units and individuals performing tasks in the Ba Dinh Historical - Cultural Relic Complex.
Pointing out the shortcomings and limitations that need to be overcome in the coordination and organization of people and international visitors to visit Uncle Ho; digital transformation; site clearance; communication..., the Prime Minister said that in the coming time, the country will have many important events such as the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025); 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025)...
The Prime Minister requested ministries, branches, Hanoi city and the Mausoleum Management Board to closely coordinate, be proactive, make efforts and further promote the spirit of creativity and innovation so that the space of Ba Dinh Square and the relics related to President Ho Chi Minh and the Martyrs Memorial Area will always be a place for cultural and political activities and a place for every Vietnamese person to return to when coming to Hanoi and to Uncle Ho.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the Ba Dinh Historical - Cultural Relic Complex is a red address for educating revolutionary traditions; enhancing the spirit of ardent patriotism; educating loyalty to national and ethnic interests; a place to motivate and inspire compatriots and soldiers nationwide; to be proud of the great President Ho Chi Minh and the heroic historical and cultural traditions of the nation; to demonstrate the strong internal spiritual and material strength of the nation.
Therefore, the Prime Minister requested the Management Board to continue to promote its glorious tradition, sense of responsibility before the Party, State and people, and constantly improve its capacity to best perform its task of preserving and protecting the body of President Ho Chi Minh in the long term under all conditions.
“Having made efforts, we must make more efforts, having been determined, we must be even more determined, having been effective, we must be even more effective”, and “with high determination, great efforts, decisive actions, focus, and key points”, identifying and assigning tasks with “clear people, clear work, clear responsibilities, clear progress, and clear results”, successfully completing the important tasks entrusted by the Party, State, and people”, the Prime Minister noted.
The Prime Minister requested to proactively grasp the situation, promptly detect and coordinate to handle possible situations with the motto of early detection and remote resolution; be on duty, heighten vigilance, and be ready to fight in all circumstances.
Organize and provide good and thoughtful service for the visits of compatriots and international guests; the ceremonies to pay respects to President Ho Chi Minh, and the State-level memorial services for heroic martyrs by Party and State leaders and delegations of heads of state and high-ranking leaders of other countries.

Applying scientific and technological advances in research on embalming and preservation. Promoting cooperation in scientific research and experimentation, striving to fully master and successfully complete the task of preserving Uncle Ho's body in a long-term and absolutely safe manner by 2030.
