Once a place lacking many essentials (no roads, no electricity, no clean water, no phone signal, no household registration, no identity cards), over the years, thanks to the special attention of the Party committees and authorities at all levels and the efforts of the people, Ea Rớt village has undergone many changes.

Since 2017, residents of Ea Rớt village have been issued household registration books. Thanks to this, families have had the opportunity to improve their economic situation . For example, the family of Mr. Lý Văn Thắng (former head of Ea Rớt village) has been able to borrow capital from the Social Policy Bank to invest in farming and livestock breeding.

To date, Mr. Thang's family owns nearly 1 hectare of coffee, over 2 hectares of acacia trees, and more than 2 sao (approximately 2000 square meters) of rice paddies. In addition, he raises buffaloes for breeding, earning tens of millions of dong annually. He has built a spacious house, bought a motorbike and household items, and has accumulated considerable savings.

Mr. Thang shared: “When we first came here to start our lives, the economic situation and living conditions were difficult, lacking in many things, especially transportation. Now, the lives of the people have completely changed. The roads are paved with concrete, there is electricity from the national grid; schools and cultural centers have been built in a spacious and modern style right in the center of the village...”.

Giàng Seo Chúng's new house, worth over 300 million VND, is currently under construction.

The efficient use of capital, funding sources, and maximizing the available land for cultivation and livestock farming has sustainably transformed the lives of the people in Ea Rot village. Ea Rot village has hundreds of hectares of sloping hillside land suitable for growing coffee, pepper, and especially hybrid acacia trees. To date, the villagers have planted 90 hectares of cassava, 34.9 hectares of coffee, over 20 hectares of double-cropping rice, and 370 hectares of hybrid acacia trees. Some households have large areas of hybrid acacia trees, bringing in high incomes, such as the families of Mr. Thao Minh Sinh (8 hectares), Mr. Ly Seo Chung (6 hectares), and Mr. Thao Minh Son (5 hectares)...

According to village head Vang Seo Mang, in recent years, many villagers have boldly borrowed capital from the Social Policy Bank to buy seeds, fertilizers, and prepare land for planting acacia trees. Currently, the outstanding debt from the Social Policy Bank in the village amounts to over 1 billion VND. With a maximum loan of 80 million VND per household, most villagers have invested in planting acacia trees, buying agricultural vehicles for transporting produce, etc.

With a stable income, the lives of most families in Ea Rot village have improved significantly. Many families have built new, spacious houses worth hundreds of millions of dong; many households have invested in pipes to bring water from the source for daily use. Mr. Giang Seo Chung's family was previously one of the poorest in the village. Thanks to hard work in farming and livestock raising, and saving money, he recently built a house worth over 300 million dong. Mr. Chung happily shared: “My family has utilized the land to grow coffee, acacia trees, cassava, rice, and raise breeding cows. After saving up for many years, we recently borrowed some money from the bank to build a new house. Next year, after harvesting the acacia trees, we will repay the bank loan.”

The primary school in Ea Rớt village is a sturdy, multi-story building.

To date, Ea Rot village has received substantial and comprehensive infrastructure investment. The project to stabilize the lives of free migrants in Ea Rot village has invested a total of 156.9 billion VND in the 2020-2023 period, including items such as schools, community centers, bridges, culverts, and roads. The construction of the primary school, kindergarten, and village cultural center alone received nearly 15 billion VND. Most notably, after years of anticipation, the people of Ea Rot village are extremely pleased to have recently been connected to the national power grid.

Electricity, roads, schools, cultural centers, telephone signals, and the internet have reached the H'Mông people, and their lives are changing for the better every day...
