Rescue of 3 mother and children trapped in burning house in Hanoi

Service fire happened at about 10:12 p.m. on September 15, at a 4-story house on Nguyen Viet Xuan Street, Ha Dong Ward, Hanoi .

Upon receiving the news, the Hanoi City Police Command Information Center mobilized the Fire Fighting and Rescue Teams of Area 4 and Area 15 - Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department (PCCC&CNCH) to dispatch 4 fire trucks and 24 officers and soldiers to quickly arrive at the scene.

At the same time, the leaders of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of the City Police mobilized 2 command vehicles, 1 truck carrying special vehicles and directly went to the scene to command the fire fighting and rescue work.

Police broke the rolling door to rescue victims trapped inside the fire.

Through intelligence information, the police determined that the fire was developing strongly in the front area of ​​the first floor of the 4-storey house, the area of ​​the house is about 40m², tubular, narrow facade, with a lot of smoke and toxic gas covering the first floor and spreading to the floors along the stairs.

Determining that there were people trapped in the fire, the fire commander directed a reconnaissance team to break down the roller shutter in front of the house, carrying personal protective equipment and breathing apparatus to move to the upper floors to search for trapped people. Another team deployed a firefighting formation on the first floor area, preventing the fire from spreading to the upper floors of the house and two adjacent houses.

Police brought the woman and two children safely out of the fire.

At 10:25 p.m., the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force controlled and promptly approached, rescuing 3 victims, a woman and 2 small children (born in 2019 and 2022) trapped in a room on the 2nd floor. The three victims were taken down the stairs by the soldiers and handed over to the medical force for emergency treatment.

The health of the 3 victims is currently stable. By about 22:30, the fire was completely extinguished.

Cause of the fire is being investigated and clarified by the authorities.
