On the same morning, Thanh Vu Medic Bac Lieu General Hospital received patient TQC (35 years old, residing in Phuoc Long District, Bac Lieu) in a state of left chest pain. Through examination and ECG testing, the doctor diagnosed this as a case of acute anterior myocardial infarction.
Immediately, doctors activated the emergency procedure for patients with heart stroke (acute myocardial infarction), and consulted online with the hospital's interventional cardiologist.
About 10 minutes later, the patient underwent an angiogram and coronary intervention. The results showed that patient TQC had a complete blockage of the proximal anterior interventricular artery. The patient underwent intervention (coronary stent placement) for 10 minutes. The total time from admission to successful coronary intervention was 30 minutes. The patient is currently healthy, with stable vital signs, and can be discharged in the next few days.
Doctor Tran Quynh An, Head of the Emergency Department, Thanh Vu Medic Bac Lieu General Hospital, who directly performed cardiovascular intervention for the above myocardial infarction patient, recommends that people should have regular medical check-ups and screenings, at least every 3-6 months, and not just for cardiovascular diseases.
