According to initial information, at approximately 4:30 PM on January 12th, Mr. Nguyen Van Khanh (32 years old, residing in Can Giuoc district, Long An province) was driving a motorboat carrying his daughter on the Go Da River (Thanh An commune, Can Gio district). Upon reaching the confluence of the Thi Vai and Go Da rivers (Thanh An commune), large waves overturned the motorboat, causing both father and daughter to fall into the river.

At that moment, the river patrol team of the Ho Chi Minh City Port Border Guard, consisting of Mr. Phan Van Tam, Mr. Tran Van Tung, and Mr. Nguyen Huy Me, discovered the incident and immediately rushed to rescue Mr. Khanh and his daughter.

Mr. Khanh said that this afternoon, while he and his daughter were traveling by boat to the fish farm, they unfortunately encountered an accident and were rescued in time by border guards.

Earlier, in Ha Tinh province, local residents and authorities also rescued two people whose boat capsized during the night.

Specifically, at around 7:30 PM on September 26, 2023, Mr. VVT (49 years old, residing in Pho Cuong village) and Mr. NVTr. (49 years old, residing in Pho Thinh village, Gia Pho commune) rowed a boat along the village's embankment near Cho Van bridge to catch birds.

At that moment, the strong current from upstream caused the boat to capsize. Mr. Tr. managed to cling to a tree branch, while Mr. T. was swept away by the water to the area of ​​Hamlet 1, Huong Thuy Commune, about 100 meters.

Hearing cries for help, several residents of Huong Thuy commune rowed out in boats and rescued Mr. T., bringing him safely to shore.

At approximately 8:15 PM on the same day, authorities and local residents used boats to reach the scene and rescue Mr. Tr., bringing him safely ashore.
